Figures 1-0 Football
Every time I’ve seen Davies and Calvert-Lewin, they’ve been absolutely shocking - but they always seem to play.
Pilko
Sinking the best part of £100m into Rooney, Klaassen and Sigurdsson who all play in the same position and are all completely devoid of pace was sheer lunacy. Pickford and Keane were both horrible overspends and Ramirez can barely make the bench. I think Vlasic will turn out to be a good buy mind. Says it all that the academy players are getting in the side ahead of most of these players; the side is so lacking in energy and pace it's crazy. Davies in particular looks like he'll be some player, but it's a bit soon for him. Read the same for Calvert-Lewin, Kenny and Holgate. Their best young player is probably Lookman and he barely gets a kick.
Guest neesy111
Sandro's a very good prospect, had an excellent season at Malaga last season but nowhere near ready to lead the line in the PL.

The College Dropout
Real officially in crisis. Not scoring many goals at all.

Guest neesy111
Ridiculous what's happening with Real considering how slick they looked last season. Complacency setting in?
The College Dropout
Whats happened to Real this season? Already 8 points behind Barca. Hard to say. Seriously weakened the squad in the summer. Complacency? Squad not as stacked. Ron also barely scoring.

Infinitely Content
Are Sandro Ramirez and that lad from Ajax injured or rubbish? Seems mad that they're resorting to playing Lennon, who's well past his best, and Mirallas, who has seemingly been without any prospects there for years. Especially in the context of them having just spent well over £100m in the summer. That waste of time Sigurdsson on the bench, too. Koeman got it so badly wrong, like; there's no wonder he paid with his job. Both dropped. Sandro apparently has been poor and has a shocking first touch and confidence issues. Klaassen can't replicate what made him sought after at Ajax as it's a completely different league and he's not adaptable enough. He was at his best in centre midfield, fairly deep, in Holland and obviously he's nowhere near physical or combative enough to play that over here. Mole_Toonfan
Ridiculous what's happening with Real considering how slick they looked last season. Complacency setting in? I'm not saying they should be this bad, but last season aside they have been quite inconsistent in La Liga for a few years. At least compared to what a top team should be anyway. I'm not saying they should be this bad, but last season aside they have been quite inconsistent in La Liga for a few years. At least compared to what a top team should be anyway. That's true, thought they were heading for a few seasons of La Liga domination while Barca sorted their ageing squad out.

I've not really payed attention, but I know he was suspended to 5 games, but it this the start of the decline for Ronaldo, or he just hit a poor patch of form after an excellent couple of years? Fugazi
No-one could have predicted Barca to be 8 points clear of Real when they signed Paulinho. Forgot they've got Dembele out as well.

Figures 1-0 Football
Maybe they’re doing so well because Messi can be the main man and not in Neymar’s shadow.

Especially when they’ve got Barkley who also plays in the same position. And, arguably, is better than at least one of those in that list. Joey Barton laying into Unsworth on TalkShite. Mole_Toonfan
Maybe they’re doing so well because Messi can be the main man and not in Neymar’s shadow. Tbf we have seen this before Neymar and Suarez, it didn't end well as great as Messi is he needs help. I have no doubt they can win La Liga as constructed but CL? i fear it will be the same old story of Messi being double teamed and team mates not picking up the slack.
