Im gutted about how he has turned out i was so excited when he came in. he looked rusty for parts of last season, but you could put that down to not playing to much beforehand.

But this season im honestly shocked, his head obv aint in it so im done with him

Yup, I was pissed we didn't stump up 30m for him (!) and was considering getting him on an away top. Glad I didn't feel right getting a loan player on a top :anguish:

Wonder where he will end up? Absolute wank this season. Vitesse? Wasted his chance here.

Nah he can do much better. I could see him in Serie A for Fiorentina or Milan. He's a good player, just had a year to forget.

Hope he is back to his best next season wherever that may be.

Suso didn’t make it over here either but is doing well for himself. Can see him doing similar eventually.

He needs to ask himself some hard questions and whether he wants to become an established player. If so then he needs an attitude adjustment as he doesn't have enough talent to carry him there. He thinks he does, but he doesn't.

It could go either way with him, wouldn't like to say. He may even get an undeserved pop at Chelsea again with their transfer ban.

Massive fuck up not signing him permanently this summer. Can't even enjoy him properly when him having a good season means Chelsea reaps all the rewards while we go into the next summer having already lost our best player.

This post made after the Spurs game aged really well.

Was class that game tbf.

Not sure what went on tbh but the Cardiff game absolutely broke him. Think he’ll go on to do well outside of England.

Surprised he wasn’t being booed towards the end tbh.

Genuinely think he'd have been a different player if we'd signed him. Being on loan again made him complacent, imo.

If that changes him as a player then he's not got the character needed.

Yeah I think that’s bollocks personally.

You might get the slight increase on a permanent deal but he’s not going to simply turn to shit because he’s on loan.

It was his first full season in top flight football. He should have been wanting to make an impression no matter whether it was a loan or not.

Instead it comes out looking like he just had a streaky run of about 7 or 8 games and is usually shit.

Especially when the likes of Bayern & PSG were supposedly linked a year ago. A good season would have helped him get a good move this summer or push him into the first team picture at Chelsea.

Still not sure if it actually was the same player who came back after the summer, couldn't work out who it was when I seen him against spurs. Looked 2 stone heavier, 5 years older and lost half his hair. Was fuming at the time but we seem to have dodged a bullet by not signing him, would have used up the almiron money. Ended up behind atsu in the pecking order ffs

Players get a chunk of the transfer fee so with that, the signing bonus, the loyalty bonus, probably a pay bump he likely lost out on a good few million quid when we didn't sign him.  That'd play on my mind a bit
