DC is a fine city, though I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I'd certainly disagree with it being boring. Population-wise within the city limits the population has decreased some since it's height in the 50s, but is currently growing. The metro area population is about 6.2MM.

Hmm really interesting Dean. I’d love to hear your top six cities in Lithuania next if you have time.

I was thinking it was quite a boring choice. I guess the places he can afford to live will be immense though.

DC’s very expensive if you want to actually live in the city though. Many of the suburbs are pretty affluent, too. It’s come along a lot in the 7~ years. They even got Michelin to consider some of their restaurants recently.

My main complaint with D.C. is the number of douches who think they're important because they work for the gov't, a big D.C. law firm, or lobbying firm. Other than that, you'd be hard pressed to find a more international city in the U.S. and culturally it's not far behind N.Y. Nightlife, I don't really know that much about anymore. In my going out days it had pretty much whatever you were looking for.
