Also thought I was posting this in the other games thread, so will look a bit bizarre in other teams transfers!
duo Posted Tuesday at 21:59 Share Posted Tuesday at 21:59 Manchester City and Chelsea have made contact with Italy right-back Marco Palestra's entourage but have not yet begun negotiations with the 21-year-old's club Atalanta. (Sky Sport Italia - in Italian) Ah well...

(Sky Sport Italia - in Italian) Ah well... What's happening with Palestra is surreal... he'd prefer to go to Inter because the 3-5-2 is perfect for him and, above all, he wants to spend another year or two in Italy (plus, he was born and raised in a small town just outside Milano, so he's at home). Atalanta doesn't want to sell him to Inter (even for the same price, so as not to strengthen an opponent) and would prefer to sell him abroad. Inter doesn't seem willing to spend more than €45 million compared to the €55 requested by the Bergamo club. City and Chelsea seem very interested but no concrete offers yet. Meanwhile Atalanta fans have put up a banner asking for him to stay with them for a year... the banner is funny because it plays on the double meaning of Palestra (Palestra means Gym in Italian): "The doctor ordered it: at least a year in Palestra." The College Dropout Posted yesterday at 11:35 Share Posted yesterday at 11:35 Don’t like Spurs supposed business. £55m for Van Hecke with one year left on his contract. It’s a crazy fee. I guess spurs are doing it to beat competition in Jan or later but it’s crazy. Tonali Gallagher on the double pivot is ugly too. We need £90m for Tonali minimum if they spend £55m on Van Hecke.
