Population-wise within the city limits the population has decreased some since it's height in the 50s, but is currently growing. The metro area population is about 6.2MM. DC’s very expensive if you want to actually live in the city though. Many of the suburbs are pretty affluent, too. It’s come along a lot in the 7~ years. B-more Mag Posted June 28, 2018 Share Posted June 28, 2018 My main complaint with D.C. is the number of douches who think they're important because they work for the gov't, a big D.C. law firm, or lobbying firm. Other than that, you'd be hard pressed to find a more international city in the U.S. and culturally it's not far behind N.Y. Nightlife, I don't really know that much about anymore.
