Castle: The Geordie. Horrific.

Thats obviously fake ? I've lived 8 miles from Newcastle city centre for 42 years and I can't understand a word he says.

Just meant it is an awful attempt at a Geordie accent, and dialect for that matter.

What's he saying before this part? --> "I'm not sayin' it's goin' ta be better on the whole"

"Leave nuw and dee wer(?) a favour". Not sure about the "wer", actually hard to make out.

And the bit after he says "Am not sayin it's gan be any better under hor". Rather than "on the whole"

Howay, like many Geordie words/phrases has so many meanings.

What do you think of Mitrovic? Howay... meaning please, don’t even ask, he’s s***.

Howay - time to go.

Howay - an expression of frustration. Internet doon? HOWAY!

HOWAY - COME ON! An expression of support.

Howaaay... an expression of impatience or an expression of hurry up.

It’s also a a phrase used to flirt...

Grab a lass by her hands and say howay... could mean let’s dance, let’s shag, let’s kiss, let’s do anything really.

You will hear it in any pub at any time in Newcastle. Often followed by alreet

It’s the way it’s said, the loudness it’s said in and the tone. Any Geordie can or should know exactly the context of what howay means when said or used in such ways.
