Must be bringing a keeper in then, guess Trafford as people have said.

I think we’ll keep Pope as number one for next season at least. We don’t seem to have the money to spend on a top keeper as well as the other things we need.

It's also a dangerous game fucking about with your number 1.

Pope is a good goalkeeper. Unless we find someone who is 100% going to be better, you stick.

Agree but it’s a big money signing and we’d likely need to sell Pope and bring in a number two as well. Can’t see it. Maybe in summer but definitely not in Jan.

Also presumably Liverpool want a good backup keeper.

Approaching the last year of his contract, which is up in 2026.

He has already asked to leave after they bought Mamardashvili.

January deal will depend on if Liverpool want to cash in earlier for a bit more money.

I'd bid £15 million, as from the summer I don't think they get more than £10 million.

If Dubs had let in 2 of the goals Kelleher let in against us - we would be fuming.

Let the scouts do the scouting.

I can tell you haven't really watched him this season.

Never mind all his other performances this season while Alisson has been out.

And of course let's not forget that Alisson, the best goalie out there, has of course never in his whole career made any errors.

You always reduce players to specific moments. Prisoner of the moment.

He’s played less than 70 first team games in top level football at age 26. I’m not saying he won’t be a really good keeper, but the jury is still out imo.

Yeah, but simplifying your analysis to the goals he let in against us is really really poor.

He filled in well last season, and over an extended period this season he has been brilliant.

Even reading through his thread on RAWK, they were questioning Alisson coming straight back in, and also if he should be number 1 ahead of Mamardashvilii if they sell Alisson.

Think Kelleher is a good keeper but not who I’d want to be our main #1 of the future. Not even sure I rate Trafford all that much either mind you,  who again, seems a good keeper on paper too.

I haven’t a clue who our main #1 should be, had all my eggs in the Mamar basket.

Fan of Bulka from Nice who is a unit at 1.99m and seems a great all rounder.

Have you seen much of him? I’ll be really surprised if he doesn’t surpass Pope. He’s already leagues ahead of any of our keepers with his feet.

Have seen plenty of him, not saying he isn’t good, just not sure he is good enough to be our number one for the next few years. It’s also not difficult to be better with his feet than our current keepers tbh.

Yeah he’s obviously better than them at loads of other things too. Perhaps Trafford will be better than Kelleher in time but there’s even less evidence of that.
