It looks like another season in League One will be conformed next week

Plus they haven’t got a pot to p*ss in, wonderful

Imagine if it was announced on the same day as confirmation of the takeover  :cheesy:

Imagine being steaming at 2:52am and posting this on Ready to Groom. I actually don't even feel bitterness, just pure pity for the guy. What a desolate life he must have.

I see this as the result of both teams failing to win anything for decades.  The only victory either set of supporter gets is enjoying the failure and suffering of the other.  NETD.

This is saying the only decision now is how to determine the points post game. They’re looking into taking into account home vs away games played.

I don’t have subs...is there any chance of them flunking a playoff or are they done?

They’re done.  They’ve played more at home.

So next season

3rd straight season in the 3rd division

Half the team out of contract

Manager the fans hate

Owner the fans hate

Fans the owner hates

End of marrachute payments

Expensive academy to keep

Further loss of income due to virus

playing behind closed doors losing financial advantage over other clubs

No STID income or exposure

No youth players to step up to fill the gaps

Fans loss of personal income

It’s not looking good. With all the ill feeling and financial issues this could quickly go belly up and not recover.

Fingers crossed. I never used to mind them that much just saw them as a yoyo club growing up whilst we were mainly decent and usually better than them. However the way they went on from the 6 in a row marra and sent the mags down marra has me wishing only the absolute worst on them. I celebrated Charltons playoff final winner against them last season as much as any goal in recent memory.

Make no mistake, they will go bust and fully cease to exist as a football club within ten years.

Im a total 1992er and most of my family back in Shields still support Sunderland. I'll feel sorry for them when the inevitable happens. I cant say the same for those bitter, twisted, ignorant, angry, deluded, toxic troglodytes over on the other side of Boldon. They deserve it more than anyone.

Aye they are the bitterest set of fans about along with Everton. They are always proud of how Everton fans like them and how well they get along. Not realising it's due to the fact they both share a massive level of bitterness at being in their near neighbours giant shadow for ages

Pretty much with the rest of yous, cant wish nothing but oblivion on the lot of them, quite missed the derbies but that aside their bitterness and feeling that everyone like them is f***ing laughable.

The level of bitterness will go through the roof when this takeover is announced, they will hide behind the human rights slavver but if the shoe was on the other foot they will be lapping it up. Let them go bust, f*** them.

As much as they as a football club get on my nerves at times I dont want them to go bust.  After all they are a local football team that has strong links to its community.  We've had it awful under Ashley with a total disconnect from our community and city.  Can you image what it would do to the city of Sunderland if they folded?

I wouldn’t want them to go to the wall like, couldn’t wish that on them. I’d rather them be stuck in League 1 long term while we progress up the Premier League.  I think if they do survive they will eventually end up a mid to low Championship club
