Murphy can cross a ball and has pace but Miggy is way better at defending, way better at pressing, significantly better at carrying the ball. I think we should consider starting Miggy again. He has good chemistry with Trips and Bruno and obviously very good work rate. I just wish he got a serviceable right foot. Lush Vlad Posted October 6, 2024 Share Posted October 6, 2024 In hindsight, a game like yesterday was probably more suited to Miggy’s skillset. Against teams like say Spurs or City, where we won’t have as much of the ball and there is space to attack. Then I think you go with Murphy. A bit depressing typing that out, TBH. I remember early on seeing him chasing between Chelsea players frantically without getting anywhere near them and thinkiing he looks like he knows he doesn't belong here. Miggy did it once or twice in combination with Isak and similarly Bruno and Isak. I felt felt Isak, our midfield and two wide men were fairly ineffective defensively today to be honest. Of everyone Joelinton probably snatched the most interceptions from what I recall.
