DJ_NUFC
What’s interesting is there’s not been much difference between the two sides, except we look lethargic and shaky at the back.
thenige
Yeah pitch must be very slippy as the West Ham players seem to be falling over for no reason quite a lot.
loki679
We haven't looked great but there's no need to go overboard. We're playing a decent side away from home, let's see what Rafa can do at half time.
Guest firetotheworks
Pellegrini is winning the tactical battle and has the better players. Could finish 3 or 4 nil. Unreal tactics winning a pen and us letting Rice have the freedom of the box. TIL tactics only apply to goals apparently. Considering they’ve done f*** all else I agree. If they'd done fuck all else we'd have a couple ourselves. Defensively they've been sound and they've controlled the whole thing. So I think OP is right. Rich
Some of their quality up top is frightening. Felipe Anderson is head and shoulders above anything we have, again.
STM
Tell you what they are a pretty good side in all honesty. Sometimes you just play a side on the wrong day. They've outnumbered us everywhere and look fresher. We look out of ideas. Like I say, ring the changes.
madras
Perez showing his early season form. Muto for him and Ki for Hayden please.
Newcastle Fan
While we always do good against teams that just huff and puff, we get caught out too often with teams who have quality players upfront, Anderson, Snodgrass, Lanzini, and Hernandez are finding it too easy to get and create chances Declan Rice is having an outstanding game too. Lenny
Really poor half. No one seems to have any conviction about their play and seem to just be sleepwalking into a defeat. Rondon has had a very poor half, can't seem to hold the ball and when he gets the pass off it's too weak. Manquillo (too predictable and lacking quality offensively) and Hayden (having a poor game) need to come off.
Yorkie
No complaints, deservedly behind. Had a brief spell at 1-0 where we had a bit of time on the ball, but our final pass was hopeless on every occasion. Other than that, we've been unable to cope with their quick passing and they've drawn a load of silly fouls. They're playing well tbh; they're having a good day. No excuses for the woeful defending from set pieces, mind.
hakka
West Ham have been decent. Mostly energy and closing down has totally crushed any rhythm to our play. Frustrating that we've come undone to a corner and giving a penalty away, hope Rafa can see what to change to try and salvage this.
James
We are losing because we aren’t winning the second balls outside our box. Almiron is charging at the half way line and not coming back for the ball which he should be doing and it’s put us under too much pressure

nufc4eva
Would maybe bring Diame or Ki on for Hayden to try and grab midfield. Hayden putting in the effort but Diame bigger and Ki can retain possession

Guest godzilla
Only player who has managed to consistently get the ball and find a player is Almirón and unfortunately he has hardly had the ball. Rondon has lost the ball and not held it up at all. Need to tri and start the game on the front foot in the second half but to be honest the team is not at the races today. Flat as a pancake

Guest covmag
Tell you what they are a pretty good side in all honesty. this, i think we sometimes forget these are 7th and we have just beaten 2 bag of shite teams around us. Rafa wins the little wars he has to with these mediocre players in truth
