Let the manager go and then ask for clarity on the takeover.  Surely it would be the other way around.

Is he listening to Michael Jackson 'man in the mirror's whilst trying to get into his shit stained Jean's whilst asking for clarity?  He has no intention of selling in my view and never has

Yeah he’d rather sell in the Championship next year for half the price

I don't know why I need to keep saying this but ashley. Does. Not. Make. Reasonable. Decisions. If he kept Rafa and funded him well he'd obviously be reaping rewards of a lot of players with huge sell on values more TV money etc. He throws money down the drain merely to spite and will self sabotage at every point.  He will fail to see relegation coming again and again and again and then waste money on panic buys.

He won't sell us when we are in the Championship. He will assume he can throw money at it like he has 2x before and get back in the league. This club would need to go down even further down the pyramid for him to cut and run at major losses and even then, there is no telling we ever come back up or get saved by a proper owner. At that point you may get a bloke like the guy who owns Sunderland ffs.

MA will only sell this club when he feels he's got the max pricing at his terms or he's going to hold us for the foreseeable future. Act of God is the only intervention where he bucks the trend and sells at a loss IMO.

That's not going to happen for him. The clubs value has peaked and its only downhill from here because the last thing he'll do is invest (the clubs money mind) into maintaining where it is much less improving. Since promotion it has been his best chance to sell and he still clearly doesn't want to.

In the other circumstances mentioned, we'd have been better off starting a new club. If that had happened 10years ago you wouldn't be that surprised if it turned MA-NUFC over in a cup tie.

Just a thought going back to the press theory that Kenyon is Ashley's preferred bidder (as he can keep some stake and advertising at the ground) and why this is taking so long. We it can't be as Kenyon, who's group doesn't have a pot to piss in would be relying on Rafa being there, without him the club is a huge gamble even at a reduced fee.

If Kenyon has a party and has made a bid then what he's getting now is worth far less than what he was getting a few weeks ago. BZG that doesn't apply, they will (hopefully) have the funds to bring in a manager of their own or even Rafa back, Kenyon will be penny pinching and their offer to a manger wouldn't be a kick in the arse off what Ashley put on the table this summer due to lack of funds securing the club.

Could Ashley not just lend Kenyon the cash with a bit interest chucked in 11 yearly payments of £35 million should do it and the that way he can still be involved and I'll be in my 50s when he has no connection with us

Kenyon wants to bring his own man in. I think this was also reported just after news of his bid broke by a few of the normal journos.

That’s who he had lined up earlier in the year yes. That didn’t get reported in the press though. Well, not to my knowledge.

You can't understand Ashley till you've watched this

Sounds like our boy. Apart from the bit about him being well endowed. His behaviour indicates the exact opposite.

In Freudian or Jungian terms, he's a c**t, is what it comes down to.

The Bin Zayed Group would probably want to do the same if the takeover happened. It was consistently reported that they had made no contact with Benitez.
