Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

What do you mean?

Kinnear had become manager of the year 500 times by then, won the Premier League with Shrewsbury, uncovered Both Ronaldo's, saved Queen Elizabeth from having to abdicate due to a false archbishop and he invented the free-kick spray.

He was perfect for the role to do his next heroic thing.

Kinnear...Joe Kinnear

It reminds me of the 08/09 season. Keegan was 100% correct to go, but he could have had that squad around 12th easily imo.

It’s the same again now, Rafa was correct to leave but if he’d stayed I reckon he could have made a relative success from the front three given to him and had us comfortable mid-table again. The fact we replaced those two with absolute clusterfucks of managers is what will send us down.

I like him, together with Almiron and ASM I always feel better with them in the team.

Mind I used to feel like that about Shelvey, who yes had a good game(he does when we are on top)

Shelvey often does that when he comes back in to the team, then gets worse as he stays in.

I like him as a player but he'll never score more than ten goals in a season. Just isn't a natural striker either technically or positionally. Would be a good foil for a decent striker.

The positional thing is what concerns me. He just doesn't attack the box enough. I like his general play other than that though.

Such a mixed bag this lad.

Aye. Hardly looks like scoring, can wander offside aimlessly, then pluck a ball down from the air with a couple of defenders on him and lay it off like it’s nothing.

I still think he can become something. Just has no confidence and would be nice to give him a break for a bit to work hard in training. Hope he has a sports psychologist.

That's possibly the problem, he has Sports Direct psychologist

much better today in terms of strength, staying on his feet, holding up the ball and his passing.

just has to improve his movement when we are attacking - needs to make the right runs and also be in the box when we're attacking out wide.
