Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Feels when he’s on a cusp of a yellow ban, he plays really well because he’s more measured in his play.

Ban over, he goes back smashing needless tackles, gets booked and has to play on edge which seemingly compromises him :D

We should just lie to him and say he is still at risk of being banned.

Barnes, Murphy and Tonali were getting most of the plaudits yesterday, but Joelinton was outstanding, and arguably MOTM.

Not just winning the ball, but skating through challenges to set moves up on quite a few occasions. He doesn't get enough credit for his great close control under pressure, and when he comes through those challenges, he quite often pings in a killer pass to top it off.

Created two of the goals, pass to set Barnes away for the second was excellent!

I remember reading that playing those decisive passes is something he’s been working on improving.

More likely Rogers after he faked getting hit in the face in the reverse and tried to get big Joe sent off.

I noticed he's dropped the cast like thing. Was there anything wrong, or maybe it's a precaution against crap like this.

Has been getting quite a few injuries the last two seasons..

His all action style starting to take its toll. We should be watching this, same as Willock (not style, but injuries), it was coming, and now its constant with him.

Injured his knee last game apparently, waiting for test results... Hmmm, not exactly what is needed for the run in, hopefully it´s nothing!

He’s going to be a huge miss for the run in. You’d imagine even a minor knee problem and no surgery is going to see him missing 3-4 weeks.

Let's hope it's neither then. We need him for the last 4 games.

He's been carrying and playing with a knee injury for months. It's why he didn't play in the three games prior to West Ham in the cup final run up. Dealing and managing injuries is something we've got to get better at as a club. Now in this instance it's been proven to be the correct strategy as we won the trophy but several players have either been very unlucky or mismanaged when it comes to injury.

Big miss on paper, but I feel we have enough in there to not miss him too much in the closing stages of the season, if he is missing. Would prefer him to be playing though

With Sven back, I wonder if we see the back three we broke out v Arsenal again.

A few goals and then move into the flat back 9 formation to see it out.
