Plenty said we should have cashed in when his stock was high after the 4th placed season. But we certainly should have at least tried to sell him for a fee a lot smaller than his ability is worth this summer. I don’t think it was ever reported that we were looking to move him on?

There were quite a lot of reports linking him away and saying we were willing to listen to offers along with Almiron, but nothing that ever sounded very solid. Unclear whether that was due to lack of interest from buyers or us. Hopefully it was a lack of buyers rather than our fault...

It might just be me looking for the negatives. But I’m sure we used to hear from him and see him on a lot of the social media stuff whilst he was out? So something seems amiss there.

Perhaps I’ve not been paying attention. But barely read/heard anything from him. Bar one of those post-match win videos.

Funnily enough I think I've seen him more lately than I have in a while, popping up in stuff like Gordon's day in the life video and such. Believe he's stopped that podcast he used to do though.

I just remember lots of talk of. The one’s who got us 4th deserve the opportunity to play CL and to try again.

Didn’t like that attitude at the time and I still don’t tbh.

I wonder if any teams in touch down the bottom of the league or perhaps a team abroad with something to play for. Might pay a nominal fee and/or a % of his wages up until his contract expires? May as well just get whatever we can for him.

Either that or he is even more fucked than has been reported and he should probably just retire.

I mean, just look at the below. Probably in his best interest to call it a day whilst he is still relatively healthy:

In any other business, you’re sacked for that kind of sick record.

Nonsense. If anything, returning from serious injury every time shows his strong mentality.

He hasn't even had a serious injury whilst playing for us has he ? Always just seem like daft weird injuries and niggles that happen all the time then keep him out for months on end .

What serious injury has he ever had playing for us, it’s always been “slight muscle injury’s” that last for ever

Given he has an injury record so bad we now want rid, you can see why teams will be fighting between themselves to sign him in January, and how it will be all Mitchell's fault if he doesn't get £20M+ for him in January.

There's a long list but one of the most unreliable players we've ever had. Shame as he's a class player when he makes it out of the treatment room. Need a replacement in January, irrespective if he stays or goes.
