wyn davies Posted Thursday at 10:36 Share Posted Thursday at 10:36 Good to hear from Callum hope he gets sorted quickly, would it be that bad hanging onto him for another year? maybe a cheaper option than trying to buy a top class striker, as for Wood poor performance for us, whose at fault bearing in mind he seems to be scoring at forest. Have to feel for him like, this season's probably brought about not only the end of his Newcastle career, but brought into question his entire career (at least in the top flight). Best he can probably hope for is accepting a bit part role as a third choice or some sort of pay as you play for team at the bottom.

Why not the same here, pay as you play, then he has some sort of stability.

toon25 Posted Thursday at 11:02 Share Posted Thursday at 11:02 Tbf to him, despite his body giving up on him, he's never been anything but utterly professional since he's been here. He's stood up when it mattered.

Kanj Posted Thursday at 12:43 Share Posted Thursday at 12:43 What’s sad is that he worked his bollocks off to get to the World Cup, he did. He worked his bollcoks off to get us CL. Then he’s basically been hurt ever since. I feel for him.
Ste Posted Thursday at 12:49 Share Posted Thursday at 12:49 We really miss the mindsets of Wilson and Trippier, for different reasons I don’t think those mindsets have been there for either and we’ve suffered because of it. The type of players that set ambitious goals, back themselves and it rubs off on their teammates. I hope at the very least he manages to get himself back in February and sign off his time at the club on a good note. He doesn’t deserve to whimper out like this. BermyToon Posted Thursday at 13:23 Share Posted Thursday at 13:23 Disappointed to hear about his latest setback. Hope he recovers quickly and scores his 50th PL goal (second player after Shearer) for us before he leaves next summer.

I like Callum but like so many of our players his reputation is in ruins by staying too long. We are such bad sellers. thats some fucking hindsighting going on there, like. Even though this setback is somewhat predictable, it's still not out of the question he can still bang in a few vital goals to get us into Europe in the last month or two of the season. Clutching at straws admittedly, but who knows.
Jonas Posted Thursday at 16:31 Share Posted Thursday at 16:31 No point even figuring him in to any plans. Just a bonus if he's available. Like when John Gallacher popped up on the bench out of absolutely nowhere.
