For some reason I'll have to remind you that we're having a discussion about how much he can contribute today. Why are you using goals mainly scored in 2023 as an argument? Him scoring 4 goals in the last 1 year and 4 months is 10x more relevant to the discussion than the 7 goals he scored from aug to nov 2023.. But hey, lets forget all the context and try to push an agenda instead.

What are you talking about  You've literally just cherry picked a set amount of months to make his goalscoring record seem as poor as possible. And I'm the one pushing an agenda without context?!

Of course goals he scored last season are relevant, no matter when in the season they were scored. What a mental take

Shearer got loads of goals for us but I wouldn't stick him in the team.

Don't think he's being disrespected is he? People just don't want to see him on the pitch. He'll be remembered fondly as one of our best ever strikers (imo) but he's finished now (again, imo).

Just this post in the main tbf:

He’s been ineffectual in general play for years. Absolutely sick of the sight of him TBH.

So you think his goals in late 2023 proves that he still got it today? That's literally what you're saying.

By the metric of "last season g/a", Howe should be starting Trippier every single game today, and he can't be sold to anyone. You understand it yourself, you just pretend not to. Therefore there is no point trying to explain it again, so I'll leave it there.

I think his goals over the whole of last season are a better sample size then 3 (three) minutes off the bench against Nottingham Forest, yes. Glad we cleared that up

2023 form matters more than 2024 form confirmed. Thanks for the educational lesson. Lets look 2023 stats to see who we shold buy in 2025.

Think he can still score goals tbh. He was never a great contributor outside the penalty area even at his best, he's shown he still has the goalscorer's instinct. Just without the goals so far this season.

He was shite, spent most of the game drifting offside. You could see Willock on at least two occasions losing his rag as he wanted to play a ball through but had to delay it and eventually lose it because CW was clearly beyond the last man.

It would be so typical if two years after our last cup final, we had to go into another one with a chronically out of sorts Wilson leading the line. Say your prayers that Isak is healthy for it.

thought he was fine tbh. He’s not Isak and he’s barely played for like a year or something.

Plus he didn't do that much different even in his pomp. Other than miss, but we've seen Isak miss so many one on ones this season.
