Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Recommended Posts

That back injury he got at the start of the season we were back in the Champions League has to go down as one of the most costly injuries in the club's history.

He doesn't have that he gets loads of games that season, don't forget how many a 17 year old Miley got, he gets those games and shows his quality we don't sell him and find another way to raise the PSR cash.

I don't think he's world class but I guess Man City disagree.

Tonight he was getting frustrated early that his teammates weren't making braver passes. But Rice, Ando and Bellingham looked like a quite pedestrian midfield who obviously struggled to break Ghana down.

Anderson passes the ball 5 yards sideways and there were posts going on about how class he was, it was bizarre. He did nothing of note, just like everyone except Saka and Rogers.

Not sure I agree with the criticism of him.

Ghana came to park 10 men behind the ball. That's going to limit space for someone like Anderson to operate and it means he needs to be smart and not force the ball needlessly. Even then I thought he got off some good passes between the lines when chances arose.

You can say that's what he'll face at Man City, but to be frank about it he'll be playing with better wingers than Madueke and Gordon, who I thought were far worse than anything the central midfield produced.
