3 years is an ambitious and likely unrealistic timeframe if they’ve not appointed architects yet. It will need planning permission and all that.

I hope it’s great but not tooo great - don’t want them all going soft

Footballers talk a lot between each other.

This stuff matters more than people think, not only because of improvement in training, but also for the perception of the club, and how it increases our appeal to players that might come.

Oliver Gill, 1300 followers. [emoji38]

Just appeared out of nowhere this week as well.

Another boring Twitter tosspot methinks.

You'd really want to flesh out a scope of work before setting any money aside - 250m is an insane amount for a training complex, but it wouldn't be insane if they're adding a secondary stadium etc.

'Oliver Gill' working at the Chronicle feels like a fake AI reporter profile they've created.

Looks to me like a made up profile pretending to work at the Chron.  If he thinks that the gear used in his banner picture is used at a newspaper let alone a Reach newspaper he's very much mistaken ;D

250m budget [emoji38]

Okay lad.

Leicester spent about half that on their training ground and it's excellent.

Sure I read 250m is about what PSG paid and that's said to be the best in Europe.

Didn’t the guy who covers NUFC for the Shields Gazette say that it’s a £200m budget?

£200m would give us an excellent training facility, but I doubt we are getting a mini stadium for the academy and women’s team for that.

Don’t they have talent coming through very regularly?

Doesn’t matter if they do or not, it would be an access to gaining talent from South America. Santos would end up buying everyone in Brazil and elsewhere who showed any promise.

There’s always problems with PIF. As usual the government have set lofty goals without knowing the real prices, how to secure funding or ways to achieve said goals.

A lot of funding has been diverted towards the ultimate vanity project in The World Cup too.
