Do admire the way he's refusing to use the injuries as an excuse as previous managers of ours loved to do. Fingers crossed the lads get a breather over the next two weeks and we can get Isak & Wilson back as well as having Bruno again after his ban.

Tank looked empty today and sadly Bournemouth looked bang at it. The first goal the ball fell nicely for them (just like it did for Dortmund) and it does feel like absolutely nowt will drop for us at the minute as well as the injuries continuing with Almiron.

The second goal however was absolutely shite defending whether you've got 11 players injured or not and incredibly disappointing to watch.

The positive thing was the goal difference didn't take a heavy hammering cos I think a team with better finishers would have stuck 4+ past us there.

He had/has no options so critique of the team selection in hilarious.

But I'm unsure why he persevered with Joelinton as the 9 for so long. The bloke cannot play there and proved thst when Bruce was playing him there for 2 years. (he was terrible regardless of position, like)

If I had to be critical, perhaps this is the kind of 'poor' 1-0 win teams with more European experience would have pulled out of the bag. Away from home after an away trip in Europe, I can imagine they'd have set up to defend and hit on the break. Today we tried to keep the press going, but no one was up for it.

Other than Livramento, what was he meant to do like?

Aye start Livra. He’s been our best player recently. Would’ve liked to have seen Hall in midfield. Wouldn’t have had Joe at 9.  Gordon’s shown flashes there at times.

But the worst thing is the performance was awful.

The Tonali suspension and our lack of options in forward areas is really hurting us.  This season always had the potential for mounting injuries and not being able to play in our preferred style.  And here it is.

Need bodies back refreshed after the IB

Feel sorry for Eddie. He had no choices really with his lineup, minimal at best. Worse than that though, the players who did get fielded were either broken from too many minutes or from not being match fit

Thing is though he still had lascelles,Joelinton,Longstaff, trippier, pope, shar,Gordon,Willock,Almiron. That’s still a good team and these blokes are athletes who should able to play twice a week.

We had limited choices in terms of selection, not sure what else Eddie could have done in terms of starting 11 bar livramento, players looked knackered, Bournemouth pressed us to death which was spot on tactically bearing in mind our fatigue, missing players, etc.

Our style is so hard running though. If we can’t out run the other team - what do we have? Considering the injuries.

A lot of people throughout the season have been perplexed at his relative lack of rotation. Obviously no way of knowing what kind of injury list we'd be looking at if more had been given time, etc .. but I think we're reaping some small bit of what he sowed now.

Howay man, that’s just nonsense. Joelinton and Willock have had injuries and probably aren’t absolutely match fit, certainly not for multiple games a week at highest intensity. Almiron runs himself into the ground every game and we saw that he can’t sustain that today without an injury. Trippier is clearly absolutely shattered, both physically and mentally. He has played the most minutes while also going away on international duty. Gordon has done the most sprints out of anyone in the league I’m sure. This idea that athletes can be robots is utter shite
