CallumG6
Granted Slot has done well and won the title in his first season. But I think with these awards, you have to compare what's happened to what was expected of them. Forest looked to be lower bottom half, maybe even relegation contenders. Nuno has them in Europe, and if not for a faltering few weeks, in the Champions League. Liverpool however are one of the favourites for the title most seasons, so really Slot has achieved what was expected, Nuno on the other hand has done more than expected. Just my two cents. On merit, you can’t look past Nuno or Eddie. I reckon Nuno is completely out of the running now. They needed to finish top 5 or even top 3 for him to get it over Slot IMO. Howe only has any chance of getting it if we finish second, otherwise it'll be Slot.

Nobody had Liverpool winning the league title. 80% City, 20% Arsenal. I don't even think Liverpool were 3rd favourites. The idea was that Klopp was the best manager they could have and they only finished 3rd last season. They barely strengthened, most expected a slight decrease in performance. Boey_Jarton
Slot deserves the managers award. They've won the league at a cantor and many had him down as Ten Haag Mk II at the start of the season.Granted, those comparison were due to him being bald and Dutch, but they have been consistently the best team all season. alexf
Eddie doesn't need the award, he can win it in future seasons when we win the league. Keep him hungry.

We are ahead of Chelsea and Man City who have spent billions and only a point behind Arsenal who have spent a fortune as well despite us not buying a first team player for about two years. Every team has bad results during the season. To say we should have sewn up CL by now is wild . We are massively overachieving if anything . I never claimed to be a genius. Having read what you've said, I feel rather silly and would like to retract my original comment.
MagPar
13 hours ago, Gottlob said: Given the state of Manchester City and Arsenal this season, Arne Slot should feel little pride and receive scant reward for winning Liverpool the Premier League title. He should be punished if anything, for not using this relatively tranquil period to better himself in other aspects of life. Just a couple of months ago Liverpool were being touted for an unprecedented quadruple, yet they'll walk away from this season with just one solitary medallion. That has to count for something, so I'd give the award to Howe or Nuno 'of the spirits'. I take very little notice of these awards (unless my team wins lol). He inherited a near perfect squad and only managed one trophy and one final. He'll still win though.
andycap
Howe should get it by a mile with a cup win and possible 2nd place. Slot has done well but he's got a good squad of players and city have self destructed. So the feat isn't as good in my opinion.
HalloNUFC
Let be real, they didn't give howe the award last time when we made UCL with a weaker squad so they wouldn't give him this time either even if we qualified for UCL. In most cases winner of the league get the award & Slot winning it all in his 1st season deserves the prize.

et tu brute
Encouraging hearing Howe basically saying we're in a good position for the summer market. I certainly wasn't expecting that, as he has always been super cautious in the past. For the first time in about four windows, it's not going to be the usual frustration this time me thinks. I just hope Howe plays a key role in who comes in - I know that in the modern game, DoF (or whatever their title) fulfil that role, but Howe’s signings have been incredibly successful - Brian Clough once talked about transfer policy being about successes outweighing failures. I can’t imagine that there are many managers with Howe’s ‘hit rate’ re successes - I can only really think of Targett’s permanent move (he was a success on loan) as being a definite ‘miss’ to date.
