Armchair Pundit
As long as whoever they bring in is capable of working under their director of football, along with all the proposed infrastructure changes. I'd prefer experience over youth right now, even if it's just until the end of the season.
Scoot
I'd be delighted with Rodgers. First we need to get shot of a certain fatty.

I would be very happy with Rodgers. I kind of get the prem experience thing, but can't lie would be disappointed if they're putting too much weight on that, as it's so cliche. A good manager is a good manager, and there are so many interesting options out there and it's such an attractive proposition. Do the work to identify a quality manager from the many that are available, that should do well enough to comfortably keep us up with 30 games to go and a full transfer window with a healthy budget and lots of decent players available with contracts running down, it can't be that difficult surely. Haz
Do you think Rogers might have been unofficially sounded out? He and Leicester must be aware of the buzzing but neither have responded nor poured water on them. Edited October 13, 2021 by Haz

Chicken Dancer
I'd be over the moon with Rodgers, like. Haven't really thought about him as thought it far too unrealistic, however the noise does seem to have ramped up slightly with him. Said in another thread, if we could get him and someone like Campos in, it would really send out a serious message that we mean business. Rodgers specifically - in a good place at the minute - yes not a great start but loads missing at the back for them. If they'd have managed to persuade him via a vision for next 3-5 years, then it would be extremely encouraging as a fan. Would clearly be promised funds and investment into training facilities, for him to be tempted to leave Leicester who are probably about 3-5 years ahead of us, if not more. I just think any half decent manager would easily get the team back on track with 30 odd games and a full window. We'll see what happens.

wormy
That was fun. Fair play to him. I felt there was a chance he could be interested but equally not surprised if he wants to stick with Leicester.
Ikon
I've never really liked the guy for some reason. I'd be very happy with him under someone like say Rangnick for example. No doubt his teams usually play good football without being super vulnerable defensively either. Would be a very smart appointment I think. Probably someone I might learn to really like too. Ticks the boxes for many reasons tbh. Taken Leicester as far as he can? Anyway, now could be a good time for him to move.

A lot of the bigger name managers won’t want this job. They want to join an established club already competing. I think we all need to lower our expectations. I’d genuinely be happy with Potter. And I think he’d care, and want to build a project. Which surely is the most important thing here.

Kid Icarus
Haven't really been paying attention to PL football after Rafa went. What's Potter done since then to suddenly be seen as a bit of a football hipster darling?
