West Ham entirely deserved their win through both tactically and physically outperforming Brighton. Stats don't always tell the full picture.

I don't agree, if you have 17% possession in a game of football you do deserve to win.

There's nothing defensive in your post there, mate, nor any need to be.

Because I completely agree - suspect it was just him straight-batting questions because he doesn't feel any value in a public inquisition, when he's got a group of players that will probably be feeling a bit bruised. He probably will be himself.

Exactly. I reckon of all people Howe is probably feeling most frustrated and disappointed, dare I say it, fans included.

Goals win games not having the ball. There's more than one way to skin a cat.  West Hams defensive organisation and rigidity had Brighton passing square and backwards around the middle third for a lot of the game and every time they broke into the final third they got batted away. West Ham then (as planned) broke and scored with conviction numerous times.

Not really. Teams can analyse you and work you out. Both City and Brighton relentlessly exploited the half spaces between our midfield and defence.

You need flexibility to counter that and we don’t have a specialist 6 in the entire squad.

A specialist 6 isn't going to stop multiple players tucking in though.

E.g. City, Bruno already had a man marked but Foden ran off Joelinton. We'd effectively have needed 2 DMs there not just one.

What a ridiculous post , like you can' t criticise the most abject performance since Bacon Butty days

I never said you can't criticise a bad performance. I said its pathetic that people are saying Eddie Howe has taken us as far as he can.

Do people who say 'you can't criticise anything' really think people can't see through what you're doing? Like, do you think people are that thick?

Some on here have derailed their otherwise decent arguments because of saying that. A pet hate that rivals "I'm exercising my first amendment rights" for me.

If West Ham played them next week would you say the same result would happen

As disappointing as this evening was, some of the disrespect I've seen towards Howe tonight has sickened me. Going to stay off social media for a while I think.

Fickle cunts.

Two days since a Champions League draw no less.

Qualifying a relegation bound team for the champions league the year after doesn't get you very much equity with some people.

A galling lack of humility.

No, because there a probably more than 100 variables that would effect that from happening. One of them being that Brighton could also win with 17% possession.

They had 25 anyway tbf, totally agree with you. Higher XG, better chances, deserved to win the game.
