80
Got to admit I'm not going to be getting ahead of myself any time soon re: optimism. And they were truly shite, it was like they weren't prepared for a game against us at all. But there was a lot to like nonetheless. On a side note, been meaning to say this for a while - we're not actually shit at set pieces are we? But we are wildly inconsistent. I don't understand why we'll pull off three or four brilliant routines in one game and then just aimlessly punt balls in for the next 3 games. It's like we have an on mode and off mode, but I'm not sure how responsible any individual coach is for that.

I’ve often wondered about this and if it’s kind of similar to something like American Football. Don’t show the ‘trick’ plays and certain parts of your playbook until late in the season or the play offs. As teams will see how you lineup and have tape of your different plays, in this case routines. You don’t want to show your hand or become predictable. Doesn’t fully explain how we go from Arsenal in their current form for set pieces to the Pardew back post set penis routine on repeat. The last few weeks. It feels like we have tried to mix it up a bit, with mixed results. Still had a couple that have turned into dangerous counters for the other team. Plus the aimless punts or regularly over or under hitting corners. But I think we’ve scored 4 of our last 10 league goals from set plays now? Maybe it's one of those things that you don't realise happens more often than you realise, but to be 11th but also 5 points off 4th, 4 points off 5th and 2 points off 6th at nearly the halfway point of the season feels completely mental. But it's fair to say we go from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Keggy_Keagal
I've thought several times this season "right, we've turned the corner" only for the side to reverse into a cul de sac. Positive results against Brentford and Ipswich will tell me we finally are heading in the right direction.
Ronaldo
Very happy for him today. Up against a poor side but we were smart and patient.
Nine
Leicester were absolutely useless but we did what we had to do today, not much else to say really.
Kid Icarus
Maybe I'm talking shite but I think West Ham and Brighton were also absolutely shite for a lot of it and we came unstuck, so I'm very happy that we made them pay, just as we could have in those matches. Smal
No, West Ham were definitely terrible, you’re right. Brighton weren’t as bad but weren’t good.

Absolutely, especially West Ham. The idea their performance was something to be happy about was silly.
Kid Icarus
Fine lines and all that. Looking at how tight the league is, you get the feeling fans of other teams are thinking the same.

AyeDubbleYoo
I still hope Chelsea will implode but I think the manager is ruthless enough to just dispose of anyone who rocks the boat.
Pokerprince2004
Makes it more frustrating that we have been well below what we're capable of, we could easily be in 2nd place
