If Isak stays this man will do his best damage control to help him back into the fold. And the slimey cunt Isak doesn't deserve it.

He doesn't, but it's best for the club.  Tottenham, Liverpool and Man Utd didn't regret sucking it up when the runaway had to come scampering back with their tails between their legs.

Didn’t even inform his manager, scum

Totally agree and those saying they’re willing to forget, not me. Watching this video I believe the owners have said we’ll be the bad guys in this and turn offers down etc so you can try and work on your relationship with Isak.

I think Eddie was very measured in what he was saying, that is the start of Isak and his agents bollocking

Yeah, what I meant was I think there’s probably an agreement so Isak doesn’t blame Howe for offers being turned down, doesn’t blur the lines for Howe if he can repair anything.

Doesn't get more unprofessional than this from Isak.

Get the £140m+ and fuck him off as soon as possible.

Even if he stays and apologises to his team mates. He'll be gone by next summer by this point.

I personally think regardless of this summer saga he would have left by next summer anyway.

Next summer is fine.  Give Sesko or (hopefully) Samu a season to get up to speed playing alongside him with Wissa as backup and then off to PSG or Barca in the summer.

Situation needs ending by middle of next week, because we can’t even contemplate bringing Isak back to first team training when his agent is clearly talking to Liverpool daily. 100% would be relying back the tactical approach we will be taking to the Liverpool game if Isak is training ahead of it and transfer was still rumbling on.

I think its a clear case of Isaks agent doesn't know who the fuck he's dealing with, Liverpools response yesterday was clear, they have been told in no uncertain terms to back off, I think Isaks agent needs to do the same.

I translate that as:

"We try to conduct ourselves in the right manner and I can't comment on other clubs".

I.e. We try and do things in the right way, Liverpool haven't met those standards but not going to say it explicitly.

Sounds like the hierarchy hasn't kept him informed at all judging by the comments of hearing stuff in the media.

Or more likely - It’s just Eddie under the spotlight at a press conference and he is deflecting saying “I cant really comment on that because I’m on the other side of the world and not up to date currently.”

Quite possibly. Was always going to be an awkward set of questions to answer.

I dont believe that for a second, a control freak like Howe will know everything, I think that was a dig at Isak and his agent.

There is NOT a chance that is true.

I think he will definitely know what is going on and it was a nice passive aggressive way to say that Liverpool haven't conducted themselves well, and Alex's behaviour has been poor and Eddie has found out by the media.

I've thought for a while that agents' conduct need tighter regulation; especially the amount of cash that gets thrown around now in transfers and contracts. Pulls money out the game and drives player power.

Very definition of the wild west; pretty attractive to organised crime rackets.

If Eddie tells Isak not to go tour and he has 2 weeks to do as he pleases and Isak decides to go to San Sebastián, that doesn’t make him scum. You give someone 2 weeks off work you don’t get to tell them where they spend that time. Warped logic to conclude he is scum but primarily warped to think that Eddie didnt decide he wasn’t coming on tour.

Your takes don’t add up. Eddie says he’s giving Isak some time off because of the speculation but that he is definitely flying out to South Korea. Isak then pretends to have an injury and doesn’t fly out. He wasn’t given extra time off, he’s on strike. He takes himself off to Spain by himself and says he wants to explore a move away from the club. Eddie isn’t informed of where his star player is even though we’re two weeks away from the first game of the season and now deep into pre-season and it’s completely destroying our pre-season plans and our transfer window plans

Eddie really is a class act - PIF need to get their act together and get some infrastructure in place.  It sounds like he has been carrying the club on this back since Amanda left.
