Man Utd may have sorted out their wage structure but they're still offering new signings atleast £150k a week, which is about what our highest earners are on after they've earned a new contract. The rest seem to be around £80k-120k.

We don't know how close Sesko was to signing, but our negotiating team have their hands tied a bit here.

"Go buy other players who we can actually get!"... We still can.

Aye yeah they may not have told Eddie that's true but somewhat immaterial as the decision was made prior to that.

I'm not blaming Eddie either, he wants things done a certain way I understand that. I do however believe he wants to have final say over transfers and that model doesn't mesh well with the system we should be implementing imo.

In the end we just want someone who is competent enough to share Eddies workload and at the same time develops a mutual trust relationship with Eddie. What we want to express is this couldn’t be done solely by one party, but both of them.

This.

At this stage we don't need just a small pool of players to choose from.  Just build out the fucking squad so we can compete in a CL season.

Invited a crowd to watch him deal with Alexander. Box office.

Why does he feel the need to put "Exclusive" at the start of something so mundane

He'll be asking all the players if any of their old team mates fancy joining us. It's as good a transfer strategy as we're currently using.

Not big into criticising his nephew for things he wasn't originally appointed to do. Seems unfair and a bit shit.

That's fair but if he's not qualified he shouldn't be doing it. Surely he wouldn't want to let his uncle down. If he isn't up to the job he should quickly step aside.

But for who? It's more that I think Mitchell should have been replaced much faster for negotiations once it was clear he was going.

Might be wrong, but it feels like we're firefighting with what we've got and that fault doesn't lie at all on those individuals.

Just dropped into this thread to say how much I adore this man.

This summer has been fucking brutal, from realising that our club is a rudderless ship with no leadership, to having carcinogenic shills like Romano giving us hourly updates about how no player worth a damn wants to join our club, taking glee in tweeting that they 'only want *insert cartel club here*' and every other devastating blow in between, of course including our best player in generations turning into a cowardly cunt.

Despite all that, Eddie Howe give me hope that we'll always have a chance of acheiving something, he is our single greatest asset and it's utterly shameful that we haven't been able to provide with the tools he needs to take us up a level.

This man, single handedly keeping us above water. While Isak stabs everyone’s life jackets and the board sip champagne on the shore with caviar dip to go alongside their truffle croquettes
