AyeDubbleYoo
The lass cheating analogy makes no sense. I mean, I agree if he loses the derby on purpose he should be sacked, but I feel that’s unlikely

Holmesy
The poll is a bit simplistic and dramatic. Do you want him sacked?! I don't want him sacked but I am starting to think that he's hit his ceiling, and if there's a replacement available with better pedigree who has the gravitas to attract top players, we should at least be exploring it. And that's based on our shocking summer, our appalling away form and the fact that we look like shadow of the team we were a couple of seasons back, despite having spent a stupid amount of money on new players. We don't have a cohesive playing style any more, we've signed some very average players for big money and I don't think Eddie's methods lend themselves to competing in the PL and CL simultaneously, which is the goal of the football club (this has been backed up by the quote about hardly training at the moment, concentrating on recovery instead because of how many fixtures we're playing). Unless he changes his entire way of working, I fear we'll always struggle in the league when we have a European campaign running alongside.

Call it short sighted. Cant help how I feel, if I could, I wouldn't even be bothered. Would you stop sharing insane takes and talking about the match like it’s your ex if it assists us? Certainly would assist me. Get a grip of yourself.

But lose and he doesn’t get the rest of the season to try and win another trophy or finish top 6?! Sound logic. We could do a cup double this year and lose both derbies. But Dokko would rather just not lose to the mackems That is pure mackem behaviour that. Gauging our success through how we do against our rivals And hes not even watching the game!!! Yorkie
Tbh one of the biggest reasons for that ghastly run of defeats against them was because Pardew clearly overhyped the occasion and we went into each one bricking it. You need to respect the fixture but I think the manager's job is to make it as close to a typical league game as possible.

Lucky
Tactically he was schooled in the first half. We had some passing patterns that time and time again are absolutely useless in a low block situation. They picked us off on the counter at will. We don’t do well at all with beng pressed and teams seem to do it more against us than other teams. I watched a bit of Brighton last week and the way their defence was able to just play it out from the back with the opposing team sitting way off made me wonder why we don’t enjoy the same privilege. The penalty changed everything and we grew into it and realistically should have won that game in the end. I’d have taken a point beforehand so I’ve no major issue with the result other than throwing away the win again. Our game management this season aside from the City match has been some of the worst in the league. Is it all down to not having a fit and younger Trippier in the side to bark out orders and keep heads calm? We could have done with Ramsdale sitting down during the spell they were all over us in the last 10 mins. Where has the shithousing gone?

If it was anyone else top half away, it would be equally as important to me because of context of our weak away form and the need to start getting ahead of teams. We can’t just brush this game (against Sunderland or anyone) as a defeat doesn’t matter. It absolutely does, as we fall back off the pace, continue to play catch up as we come into a very challenging period and our next away game being Man Utd, another side we have to get ahead off.
