Then you don’t know ball.

Maybe 1 player we signed this summer would’ve started the league cup final.  Not if I was choosing.

The new signings have been shit other than Thiaw and Woltemade but the regression from the existing squad is even more of a problem imo. Other than Livramento and Hall everyone looks like a shadow of their former selves. I assume the extra CL games has a lot to do with that.

He's tried to change our style to more possession based and it hasn't worked. We don't move the ball quick enough and we don't have the players to implement it.

Can't see anything that suggests he'll turn it around. It's shite.

Aye, we don’t have the players for it. 5 or 6 safe passes and then the first half risky pass is given away. It’s so fucking frustrating.

Think he’s taken us as far as he can now. It’s all gone stale and we are going backwards with no new ideas.

Keep until the end of the season but in the meantime line up a top CL level manager.

Someone who will think the job is beneath them?

Like Conte and Mourinho at Spurs or Ancelotti at Everton.  Sounds sensible.

What has he changed with us this season?

He now has Wissa available to him and he’s both not playing him aside from the cup game, and when he does bring him on, he takes off Woltemade instead playing 2 up front.

His subs when he does make them, appears to be change the wingers, which doesn’t seem to work at any point.

I can only guess he doesnt think Wissa can do 90 and we have nothing up front the bench.

We cant play 433 for the rest of the season. Our squad isn't suited for it now.

If the plan was to change to a possession based side we did we sign Ramsey and Elanga? Completely disjointed strategy and if we'd had a DOF at the time I'd assume he had intentionally stitched Howe up.

Turning against the manager who won our first silverware in a gazillion years after half a bad season?

Nah, I don’t think I will.

Get a grip ffs. He’s been a fantastic servant and will always be a legend but  a cup win doesn’t mean he is immune from criticism or losing his job. He’s spent a fortune and is failing in our most important competition.

Absolute nonsense to want Howe out. He deserves the rest of this and next season for me.

Next season? You're very generous pal.

I think he's given the season. I'm resigned to midtable mediocrity in the league and hoping we can have some magical runs in the cups and CL.

13 points pissed away from winning positions and 0 gained from losing positions, the sign of someone who either won't or can't impact games in flight with substitutes or changes to the system.

He changed the system when Ramsdale went down. Don’t let facts get in the way, though.

The idea was to improve the depth though, quite obviously.

Not a good idea though.

We lacked quality last season but with no European football, Isak and Murphy, Bruno, Tonali, Barnes and a strong defence we had enough.

This summer more than anything we needed to add 1 Isak/Tonali level attacker. A Tonali level misfielder and Cb Just to stay 5th imo.

The margins in this league are thin. The difference between us and Brentford isn’t Murphy’s In depth it’s Bruno and Isak.

Maybe but new ideas might be all that's needed to get the engine ticking over for a European push.

We may have to write Europe via the league off this year at this point. We are almost halfway through with 23 points. Will take a gargantuan improvement to give us a shot, and I doubt there is anyone who’s we could get who would come close.

Needing a change doesn’t mean dropping a neutron bomb in the middle of the season.

We've moved away from the counter press. Weve certainly changed in style and it's nowhere near as intense.

We can't effectively counter press with Nick.

Isak stopped pressing at the end of last season and our form dove tailed.  We are having to adapt

Really?? What's he shown this season to suggest he gets next year as well. Have you seen how shit we have been, the in game mistakes, the lack of a system to get goals or not concede. We look trash and nothing suggests he knows how to get us out of it, we have Burnley on Tuesday and a loss may show some that we need a change

Two Champions League finishes, 7th and a cup. He's allowed this.

Unless our new transfer policy works wonders then I don't see him to be the man to be able to turn things around next season if we don't qualify for any sort of European football.

Purely because of the amount of players that turned us down last summer and his inability to have a plan 'B' or change the game when things aren't working which has been the case for a while now.

For me he deserves to see the season out but there would need to be serious discussions over his future in the summer if we don't qualify for Europe.
