Exciting, exhausting, terrifying all at the same time?

If UCL ended now, would be PSV or Qarabag away before Man City. Get those miles in going to Qarabag :D

The problem he needs to solve, other than figuring out how to properly rotate everyone and keep them fit, is goals from the striker position.

  • 9 goals in 2026 with none from our striker.
  • 33 goals since the beginning of November.
    • Woltemade has 3 and Wissa has 2
    • Thiaw and Burn have four combined in the same stretch
    • Barnes and Bruno have 8 and 5 respectively, which has been carrying us

Other than benching Barnes which I massively disagreed with, I don’t think he did much wrong today.

Wissa should’ve scored and us being 1-0 up after 5 minutes changes everything.

We also had multiple chances at 0-0 and 0-1 to get a goal. Woltemade being an inch taller, or the ball bouncing in a slightly different direction at times and we finish that 1-1.

Think that was always going to be rough tonight just because we're a bit short on numbers and the 120 mins Saturday. Not sure what else he could have done tbh.

Get them all set for Wolves please Eddie.

Feel really sorry for him that him and his coaching staff have put so much time and energy into developing Isak only to have their hands forced and then being immediately on the back foot with signings last summer but, fuck me, our recruitment in response to that Swedish Cunts strop, requires a serious post mortem.

To have successfully made such a good profit on Isak and then immediately BLOW it, is such a missed opportunity it’s unbelievable. Like heartbreaking.

And, whilst I’ve got tonnes of sympathy for him, I’d fucking kill to have an honest from him on what the fuck him and his scouts saw in Elanga. That useless bastard was first through the door. The only number one choice they fucking got!

How can anyone have watched him, as a professional scout, and thought he was the answer to anything other than ‘How can we best waste a shit tonne of money?’ I will never know.

there has to be some kind of review done at the end of the season with regards to our summer transfer dealings.

the owners, the recruitment team, and Eddie all need to reflect on how we can spend well over £200m but only Thiaw has actually improved the first team.

The cause has already been remedied to be fair.

We were a rudderless ship, with individuals promoted to positions apparently beyond their capability.

That said, if Elanga and Ramsey come good over the next few months, it'll put an entirely different framing on the summer, as per 22/23.

Barnes played 120 minutes against Bournemouth.

Thought we were terrible in that we look weak and no aggression, not pressing as a team, scared as fuck to actually take the game properly to them and players don't look on same page at all. Lewis Hall the stand out and the rest just didn't seem to know how to grab the game. Wissa shit, Woltemade shit, Gordon fucking terrible, when they had the ball we backed off all the way to our box sometimes.

You have to have more about you, intent to win, get ball back and play football and we never seem to click. We nearly lost to Leeds and Bournemouth with how we played and it has to change or season catches up with us massively.

The difficulty in scoring is a worry, its so specialised that if you don't have someone that's got the knack you might be a bit stuck irrespective of coaching.

I don't know how you could possibly watch tonight and thought we lost due to the want of trying.

We got beat by a good team who played very well on the night and finished us off with their ridiculous bench. Sure we missed a couple of decent chances. but it was hardly a meek performance. We've seen plenty enough of them this season to know.

Sorry to be a pedantic twat. We don't struggle scoring (generally). We struggle not conceding stupid goals.

Respectfully (?) This is nonsense.

You are (of course) entitled your opinion. But we tactically set out to squash the gaps between our lines and prevent their talented playmaker from playing between them.

It was tactical and it somewhat worked.

It could have been a different game tonight with a competent goal getter. But like shite will I shoot down Woltemade and Wissa. They did what they could.
