Can’t remember us looking so toothless at home, mind. Not since the cabbage was in charge certainly.

Aye one thing under Eddie at

home is we’ve always been massive

threat especially against the big

sides. The loss of Isak seems to be biting now more than ever

I don't think this guy understands formation, tactics or anything else about football. We lost the game so it's the Eddie Out knee jerk nonsense again

Quite the opposite, I voted Eddie in, in the poll above but I’ve changed my mind.

Eddie has said he won’t change tactics or formation himself, just a couple of weeks ago. So what’s not to believe?

But he does change. You aren't listening. Of course he changes tactics. Formation and tactics have common ground but you are getting yourself mixed up. You can still change tactics using the same formation.

We're in by far the best place we've been in for 30 years and some people are absolutely gagging for us to lose. At what point are you not a fan/supporter anymore?

I feel that the way this season has gone - there's no way we qualify for europe this season, via the league. We are just too inconsistent/under-performing. Might not be a bad thing though to miss out - might give the club a chance for a major refresh in the summer.

It's gonna be a tough 2 months ahead - for certain.

I quite like to continue to have an elite manager and a club not in chaos rather than an alternative interim manager or a Mourinho who doesn't have a clue.

Transitional seasons happen everywhere.  And even elite managers lose home matches and have some bad results.

Ok so how does Eddie change tactics to accommodate Woltemade?

Being in Europe has done little for us in terms of signings anyway, im at the point where i believe we can sign the same level of player whether we're in the CL or out of Europe altogether.

Been trying to figure out why I just can’t get enthused about us at the moment, and I think it’s because I’m genuinely bored of Eddie ball.

As a fan, I enjoy it when we win obviously but even at our best, we’re predictable but efficient. At our worst, we’re fucking turgid and at our median, we’re dull but get results.

We stick to a rigid system, sign players who fit into that system and never try anything different. We don’t really have anyone in the squad who gets you off your seat or does something out of nothing, and I just find it all a bit boring. I know that’s the way football has gone to an extent and Eddie’s job is to get results, not entertain but fuck me, would it be too much to ask.

The Leeds game was an anomaly and a throw back to when football was more enjoyable but I doubt we’ll see anything like that again for a long time.

Unless he has a radical change of identity, what we have to look forward to is more of the same but with different players, and at the moment I can take it or leave it.

Not even that bothered about the result. I watched the whole thing and I never got above a 🤷🏻‍♂️

Its already been proven he can do that. 4th/CL and a final to 7th and no Europe followed by winning a cup and CL.

All we'd be doing is hoping someone else can do what's already been done.

Just need to get this turgid league season out the way.

That said we've not been the same since he was ill.

This is his misfit squad that he's put together. He's had more control than most managers over who is recruited. The fact we lack any truly creative players is on him. We are desperate for a Palmer, Foden, Odegaard, Morgan Rodgers, Fernandes.

Instead of getting a 10 we have Ramsey and Willock.

He's so lucky that Miley is actually developing into a really good player. (He also deserves praise for his development).

If he's allowed to continue in the summer he has to address the balance of the squad, and be willing to change his system for different opponents.

We could certainly sign the same level of player we got last summer  [emoji38]

We got Germanys starting ‘striker’, Italys best player, two Brazilian internationals (one who starts), Englands starting left winger and two of the countries brightest young full backs. We’ve spent half a billion in the past few years and sit 7th in it. We’ve got a better squad than both those teams. Don’t talk nonsense.

I find it hard to blame the players at the moment tbh. They’re being hung out to dry in that system. I love Eddie, but he will have to go if he continues with this ‘system’. Not even changing things from the bench is almost unforgivable. I’m baffled as to how he can’t see what everyone else seems to see.

Tonali really is not Italy’s best player. Gordon has been total wank for a year. Our GKs are mid table, fullbacks are good, but dont stay fit. CBs ok but not better than Romero, VDV, De Ligt etc.

Our squad is pretty much 7th at the moment. ManU and Spurs can spend money, we cannot. That is the difference. We can end up higher than them for a few times, but there are big limitations in our squad

It's more the quality we seem to be signing. Seem to have wasted 250m. Agree don't need champions league to build but need to get smarter at players that improve our system. Going after these 55 million or above average players or 40m on Ramsey, Gordon, Barnes. I get there's a premium to pay but need to evolve and be looking more oversees. Just look at the Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth of the world, they have more quality in attack than we do at fraction of the price. I know they don't go very far and not saying we don't need to splash out but can build a competent and competitive squad for cheaper than we spent in the summer where 1 player - Thiaw has been a success

Can relate to this. I genuinely don’t expect us to score against decent PL opposition and find myself watching games this season without much enthusiasm.

He signed every player that started today except Joelinton and Miley. He should own it, it's his team playing shit.
