No guarantees either are silver bullets mind, but what we’ve been watching this season is AIDS. After the way that cunt Uli slagged us off in the summer over the Woltemade transfer, no thanks. Fabregas, I'm not sure about. I haven't really followed how he's done in Italy. I'm pretty sure he would jump at the chance if we offered him the job, though. bobbydazzla
It all feels remarkably similar to how Bournemouth fans describe the end of Eddie’s era there. History repeating.
Holloway
It's always amusing the floundering after a condemnation of the manager after a key loss, ' it's not my remit to suggest a replacement'. Just put a name up,man

The Prophet
12 minutes ago, TRon said: Honestly feel if he felt that he wasn't getting backed he would have walked away by now. I think that's what Mitchell did because he knew Howe had PIF's support and he didn't. It's not about backing him, it's about him being forced to act as a de facto Sporting Director for the summer. Just put a name up,man I think it’s absolutely valid for someone to say they think Howe should go without having to name a replacement. Not everyone on N-O is an expert in scouting and recruiting managers, but everyone on the board has an opinion on Howe. I can see my dishwasher is broken, doesn’t mean I have to fix the fucker myself.

Just put a name up,man It's one of the reasons I voted unhappy but willing to give him more time. I don't think he will turn it around tbh, but with there being no obvious candidates who we will get a free run at, I think he'll get another season by default. He needs better players to work with, but then he also needs to be able to make better use of the ones we've got. I think his tactics haven't worked this season and I'm not sure he's capable of doing anything different given another season of European football. dcmk
11 minutes ago, Wallsendmag said: Stupid argument. It's not my job to sourse and appoint a replacement. There's been too many performances like today's over the course of this season and he hasn't got the first idea what to do about it. That much is clearly evident. That's his team today. Every one of those starters other than Joelinton were his signings. That's his tactics. That's his abomination of a half time team talk. It's on him. To say he's the least of our worries is ridiculous. The argument is flimsy when you know there is no one else out there better. No one has more chance of turning it around than Howe. I understand the point if you're talking about players because the amount there is is endless, but when it comes to managers the list is short enough that anyone should be able to make suggestions. It's not a request for you to be our CEO, it's a basic question that you should be able to answer if you're advocating for a change from what we already have imo. If you can't answer it even to yourself I'd be thinking about what a change will entail and whether it'll be an improvement. So many catastrophes, not just within football, have come off the back of "needing a change" without any consideration for what that change will be. Ronson333
There’s no point replacing him if we don’t have a good option lined up, at the moment I’m struggling to think of one. Last thing we need is for Eddie to leave and end up with Brendon Rodgers.

Wallsendmag
People saying he needs better players but surely our players are better than Sunderlands, no? They've outfought and outworked us twice now. Tactically they were better than us today as well 2nd half. That's nowt to do with talent.

johnny36
We have been consistently shit since April of 2025..Warning signs were there last home game of last season where we needed a win to get Champions League. Everton could have scored 4 that day

Well if you have that strong an opinion that he should be peddled, and the poster has long held that belief as far as I can tell. i think it's reasonable to question the direction to go in and a suggestion who might lead it. And he's answered, so fair fucks.
