Recency bias, we didn't win any of those, we don't have any matches left in any of them so people are focusing solely on the league table and it has come 2nd to the cup runs we were on. I don't think we can judge the season fully until it is finished as I think a 3 week break and a full weeks rest between games will see us a different animal in the run in and depending on results elsewhere could see us finish in a respectable position yet. However, as you have said, when you step back and look at the season as a whole it has been a pretty successful one, albeit tumultuous and arduous.

I have not enjoyed this season at all. It has just felt like a struggle from start to finish and the matches, other than a very few, have been a tough watch.

We don’t wave white hankies or send the Ultras round for a word when we’re not happy. Booing is our way and it’s better than singing you’re not fit to wear the shirt. It’s also better than leaving before the end, meekly conceding defeat leaving oppo fans to sing the empty seats song.

I stayed and loudly booed, I’d just witnessed a largely pathetic performance on the pitch and from the sidelines. They didn’t get it, I think Eddie did but crucially he couldn’t get the players to see or feel it.

Given that we also lost a few months ago at their place and felt that pain and having previously gloated by taking a group photo on their pitch when we beat them in the FA Cup (against a far inferior team) the majority of players should be completely ashamed. Not for losing but for just not competing enough. I bet they all had a nice tea and slept well.

I watch a lot of prem football and there is not one team in the league that constitutes anything other than a tough watch this season.

The thing I just can’t get my head around is why people are talking about this season as if it has been some sort of disaster. The League hasn’t finished yet, 5th Round FAC, SF of League Cup and through to the k-o stages of the Champions League.

How many seasons do you think we’ve had since World War 2 which have been better? Can’t be bothered to check. but there will not be that many.

Great post , as i think you said before Eddie over achieving with this squad has done more bad then good for him and a few of our fans beliveing we should be beating barca like wtf? I don't think we've even had a easy cup run under Howe yet we've won one and got to how many semis etc? If we lose Eddie we will lose most of the players and lose him to a club who can spend! We need to back him and the team till end this season i dont give a fuck where we finish this is on the owners and isak

In March we've beaten an extremely in form Man Utd, Chelsea away for only the second time in the PL, completely matched, if not outplayed, Barcelona for 3 halves in the last 16 of the Champions League and 6 of our players have been called up for England. Booing isn't enough for this lot. It's time for the bedsheets.

To counter that, perhaps we only turn up for the big teams?

And if that's the case there's a lot more tes who we play who are not what are perceived as big matches so it is a problem

If I was there, I would have booed you for booing them. I wonder if that was it. People booing the people that were booing the team. Yep, that's it.

Eh  he’s a wanker for doing what millions of others do in when they’re not happy in sport? It happens at football, boxing, NFL - you name it.

He’d just watched us get embarrassed by our rivals, who in their first season back in the top flight for NINE years beat us for the second time in 3 months to go above us. Us being a team that’s spent the best part of a billion ££ in their absence.

He’s every right to do as he pleases.

When Tino got injured you do know both Trippier and Krafth were injured?

So the only right back was Shahar who had never played a single minute for us

How many minutes had Miley had 2 years ago before he was thrown into the first team?

Sometimes situations call for sink or swim

Aye mate and by that logic, I have every right to say what I think about it.

The NFL? Who gives as flying fuck what them daft cunts do over there? Grown men who think this is acceptable behaviour? Grade A's every fucking one of them. Fuck off back to the wrestling or the pantomime they belong.

This season at the same stage is identical in points to Ruud Gullit's. That wasn't considered a good season even though we got to a cup final, improved at this stage and by the end on the previous year and with a mess inherited from the previous manager. Standards should be a lot higher than that now.

Seriously mate? This bloke booed the team off, which you are justifying, and I'm the angry bloke? FWIW, I did exactly what you did.

You can fuck off with that patronising 'walk' shite as well.

This season has been littered with the big

teams dropping points to the little teams. It really isn't just us and it feels very convenient that people ignore it.

Man City's last two league games are draws against West Ham and Forest as an example and bottom of the table all season Wolves taking 7 points from Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal recently as another.

Miley wasn't just thrown into the team, he was deemed to be ready to be part of the first team squad, he was training with the first team from a very young age

The number of minutes he got was undoubtedly accelerated due to the injury crisis but he had made his debut at the end of the previous season

Playing Miley over Shahar was clearly the right choice considering how well he played but some people are so far down wanting Howe out that they are resorting to some absurdities to criticise him, which is baffling as there are valid questions/criticisms to be had

And the number one way to piss your players off.

The overpaid premadonnas need to take their tampons out and try harder then.

Footballers are getting paid exceptionally well for the job they do  which sets them up for life.

If they don't want put the effort into two derbies then the delicate little flowers don't like the booing  from the fans then there's the door

Bunch of fannies

Takes one to know one eh? Stop getting personal about someone else’s reaction to another spineless, embarrassing performance to our nearest and dearest.
