If this club hounds Howe out, I think I might actually chuck my season ticket. I've got strong Bobby Robson vibes here. How in hell anyone can write a table , including "poor match management" when we beat a peak Liverpool team in a cup final less than 2 years ago is absolutely fucking bonkers in my mind. It brings me down, it really does. Like it or not, even today , even today - this is the best we've been in decades, despite everything that's gone against us. No ones saying that a manager cant make mistakes or need to change things - but thats just human life - we are not robots, people learn on journeys to success. But to want a manager out when hes "reached peak" with a team such as ours is just fuckin deluded imo. Our squad is NOT champions league standard, sorry, it isn't . yet we get to the final 16 for the first time in our history and within a month we've fans booing the club. No. just no. There's still far more sensible fans those than stuff you see on social media.I want Eddie to stay and have a chance to rebuild and I think he will. I do feel though people who are unhappy with recent performances are being made out to be fickle or deluded which I don't think is fair either, the Sunderland game they wanted it more and outran us in the 2nd half, the player's looked like they weren't up for it all which rang alarm bells, no set of fans takes well to a derby defeat. In regards to the Liverpool final though football is always judged on recent form, we have lost 4 out of our last 5 premier league home games to Villa, Brentford, Everton and Sunderland conceding 10 goals and sit below the latter on the league in April which let's be honest is not good enough given the money spent in the summer and the fact they've been out of the league for 10 years. I want Eddie to stay and rebuild but I think this we are a spoilt or deluded fan base is nonsense, every club would react the same after losing to their biggest rivals for the 2nd time in the season and sat 12th in April it's the nature of that fixture and football. I hope the players show a reaction and we can finish on a high and let Eddie rebuild.

He’s been getting work done on his house for almost a year now. Eddie has been in Darras for over a year. Moved because people would stop and congregate outside his driveway in Gosforth and he wanted more privacy. If we’re now into reading into renovation works, Livramento has had planning permission awarded for a new gymnasium and fitness suite to be installed at his house too 😂. Jacob Ramsey has lived in Isak’s old house since he joined too afaik. Edited April 5 by Minhosa
Andy84
If there was a change it would be Iraola for me. Plays a 4-2-3-1 which I think Newcastle need to transition to. Likes to play an aggressive press and quick transition which wouldn’t be completely alien to our players. Like his background as well with Vallecano and Bournemouth, seems a bit of an underdog which fits us as a club imo

No one is denying what Howe has done for the club. He’s been a huge part of dragging us out of the mess we were in. But I don’t think this is about “hounding him out” or social media noise. It’s about what we’re seeing on the pitch over a longer period. The same issues keep coming back: lots of extremly soft goals, poor game management at times, dropped points from winning positions. And that’s the concern. Not one-off mistakes, but a pattern. You can appreciate everything Howe has done and still question whether we’re moving forward or starting to plateau. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. For me, unless we see clear improvement in these final games and finish the season on a high, then it’s probably time to move on. There also seem to be signals the club wants to shift towards a different transfer strategi (which is very welcome in my view) and it’s not clear how that fits with Howe’s ‘small pool of players’ preference and mainly ‘Premier League proven’ profiles. He held the cards last summer after winning the cup, but he won’t have the same hand this time…
Stuy_O
Not that I believe it but Hurzeler would be a shocking appointment. Would be going from a scenario of a manager who maybes wants to much say to one who does as he’s told.

astraguy
It was the ceo's comments that rattled my cage last week that added more fuel to the fire, Weeks after going on talksport talking about the 2030 vision with Eddie at the helm then he comes out with that shite. Eddie's team is the sole reason we have OVERachieved and got the players he trusted would get us here . Clearly I'm not not saying the takeover hasn't helped but his record in the market has been outstanding if you remove said one player so far underperforming, I could see players like Bruno who fucking love us move on if Eddie leaves and we'll never have that for ages (Keegan, bobby) we are heading the road that clubs like spurs took after thinking they could do better we need to fight to keep Eddie and this sprite he brings Also Eddie isn't using us as a stepping stone he and his family adore us , He was close to tears after the derby defeat Edited April 5 by astraguy

Zero
Pretty sure we won’t be getting one that we believe is better than Howe. But then this also doesn’t mean Howe won’t be sacked. So some of you might really need to prepare for life after Howe and away from St James
andycap
The only reason hurzeler would be mentioned is because he basically plays the youth and players bought for him at Brighton. It's the only reason I can think of.
