A lot of managers aren't afforded £130m to replace him with though which was absolutely squandered on utter shite. Get your head out the sand and see what's happening in front of your eyes. 3 weeks rest. Palace played Thursday. There's another excuse for this seasons shitshow up in smoke. 25 points dropped from winning positions now. Absolutely shameful. Let's see how we finish the season. We've seen it so many times. Very one dimensional. When it works great. A lot of the time we've been sussed though.
Yorkie
Incredibly painful watching this bloke, who I admire so much, clearly put every sinew of his being into making things better, fail to do so. Not gonna defend the indefensible, just remarking on how painful it is to watch. What an awful season it's been.
SUPERTOON
Just now, Newcastle Fan said: I think we have enough data now to show he will not be the person to take us to the very top, he did incredible with what he initially had to work with but we have to move on if we want to get to the next level. The amount of 2nd halves we've fucked up this seasons is incredible. No one is taking us to the very top, under the current financial rules tbf. GOTONEW
Will always love Eddie for getting us silverware...but it's small club mentality to hold on to a manager when it's clearly long-gone stagnant. And it has. Be honest with yourselves. We've had epic managers, lost them, and got others. Eddie has written himself into NUFC history. He rightfully sits at the head of the table, with Keegan, Robson, Rafa. But he's ran out of ideas, or surprises. No one person is bigger than the club. I honestly don't see how another Summer transfer period under him fixes anything. Happy to be proven wrong, of course.

John P
So frustrating the lack of proactive changes in the second half. Miley hasn't played for months and plays the full game and looked knackered after 70mins. Same for Osula, we've got two strikers on the bench, use them. Elanga could have been on for Murphy who was completely ineffective. Just drifting along and hoping we hold onto the lead isn't good enough tbh

SAK
2 minutes ago, Armchair Pundit said: Fuck sake what? I think you lot calling for Eddie's head won't be satisfied until you've hounded out the best manager we've had for years and we get back to where teams like Spurs find themselves now. We need to make changes certainly, but the manager isn't the main problem, we might as well be back to having Ashley in charge and Bruce as manager, you'll realise what you've lost then. If the manager isn’t the problem genuine question what do think is the problem then?

Chris L
What he has done for us is immense and should not be questioned. But he needs to go either now or in the summer to protect all the hard work and great memories he has created. If it drags on too long. He will then be remembered for the wrong reasons by a lot of people.
deejeck
He'll be gone in the summer. Had high hopes that we'd have a decent run in now we've had a rest and no more distractions, but nothing has changed. Such a shame.

stozo
I feel for him today. For 80 mins that's as good as we played against Chelsea. He's not going to fix the attack overnight but we were functional away from home today. Then two moments of foolishness throw it all away. The problem he has now is that people have their knives out for him and there is fundamentally no fix for our biggest problem (our attack) until the summer. So we're going to have a lot of these tight games, and when stuff happens like the last 10 mins today he ends up on the wrong end of a result that has not been a good watch at all. Was no excuses not to put in a strong performance really and it was exactly the same as we have seen all season. Season well and truely buried now although realistically it was dead after Sunderland. This is where I am at now, I still think he deserves next season after everything he has achieved here but we just look a complete mess. That was a Palace reserve team who care more about winning the Conference League and they still beat us. Edited April 12 by Geogaddi
