Probably going to be saved by three things:

Saudis a) not being that arsed. b) happy to stick to the long term plan

c) not being an attainable upgrade manager out there we would be proactive enough to secure with lots of competition this summer.

Again. There isn't a better time to do it with decks being cleared with some big players leaving and a bunch out of contract. Money available to spend even before that.

I don't think they will bin Eddie but I also think there won't be a huge outcry if they did.

And next up is Bournemouth. Probably one of the worst possible matchup for us right now.

High intensity, aggressive press, direct running… basically everything we struggle against.

Unless something drastically changes, it’s set up for another game where we get outplayed, both on the pitch and on the touchline.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Every right to question Howe after that, and the games this season.

Question him maybe, get rid of him, no. There's been too many issues outside of Eddie control to blame him outright. Mind you, I'd love to know when we became divine righter fans from where we used to be - the way things are going, we're getting an increasing number of people in our fanbase who'd prefer us to operate like Chelsea or such where we have a new manager as soon as there's any difficulties, no wonder we've lost that 'together/family' feel at the club.

By now if you can't see why at the very least a discussion of consideration of his future is an absolute must at end of the season then I'm sorry, this club will be far beyond too late and too damaged by the time your eyes open up.

Won us a League Cup so I guess it's alright keep happy clapping a dead horse.

I don't understand the point of fighting against other clubs/fans when they call us a 'small club' when accepting/defending the huge regression this season as okay is exactly demonstrating the mentality of a 'small club'

Spending £69m then not being able to integrate one of the best young talents out of Germany because of an inability to play more than one style of play

Bringing on Wissa at the 94th minute today stinks of absolute desperation and not having any further clues on what to do. Panic buy or not, that's his signing in the way of crap handling the Isak saga.

Not having a plan 'B' time and time again. Losing against the mackems home and away.

The man is a legend for what he has done for us but this wasn't just an average season in the league, it has been an absolute nightmare. The choice is between gambling on him hopefully learning and turning it around in the summer as well as having a better transfer window than last... or finding a more dynamic coach that can operate/deliver a transfer window far better than our previous 2-3 mostly rubbish ones.

Will always love Eddie for getting us silverware...but it's small club mentality to hold on to a manager when it's clearly long-gone stagnant. And it has. Be honest with yourselves.

We've had epic managers, lost them, and got others. Eddie has written himself into NUFC history. He rightfully sits at the head of the table, with Keegan, Robson, Rafa.

But he's ran out of ideas, or surprises. No one person is bigger than the club.

I honestly don't see how another Summer transfer period under him fixes anything.

Happy to be proven wrong, of course.

 Very well said.

No doubt I'll be a lone or limited voice here but I'm still Eddie Howe in though today has been poor, as well as the league campaign overall

Just want us to get this season out of the way as I just can't see us putting any sort of decent run together

Rafa isn't at the table with Keegan and SBR btw.

Incredibly painful watching this bloke, who I admire so much, clearly put every sinew of his being into making things better, fail to do so. Not gonna defend the indefensible, just remarking on how painful it is to watch. What an awful season it's been.

Feels a bit like when Wenger started to lose it at Arsenal.

You really can't handle Howe criticism can you. Give it a go, you'll be ok, I promise. I know it's scary.

I do struggle at times with being within one of the most entitled and myopic fanbases going like aye.

I know logically this makes no sense, but fuck the logic.

Hes got enough credit in the bank with me to get next season to give it another shot to put things right. Though I am starting to feel that he may not be able to do so, and it would be best for his legacy to leave by mutual agreement.

I hate seeing him cop this every week, as hes the best manager we've had in a long time, but something does need fixing in the club,it feels stale and has for a while. Dropping 25 points from winning positions should cost most managers their job.

Fucked if I know what the actual solution is, but saving sacking Howe just doesn't feel good to me either.

Im not saying get rid of him, but this Ashley mantra, bed wetting, fuck off finding a new club for moaning. Not aimed at you the last part.

It's bad when I would have preferred to have Sarr and Mateta coming on then anything we have available. Really helps hit home how badly the money was spent.

Our squad is going backwards and quickly.

So frustrating the lack of proactive changes in the second half. Miley hasn't played for months and plays the full game and looked knackered after 70mins. Same for Osula, we've got two strikers on the bench, use them. Elanga could have been on for Murphy who was completely ineffective. Just drifting along and hoping we hold onto the lead isn't good enough tbh

This 100%. Also Ramsey should have started imo, looked like he was trying to prove that point when he came on.

OK, Enjoy watching this incompetent coach lead the team to defeat after defeat.

A portion of every fan base in the PL currently wants their incompetent coach out.
