Again it really just shows his limitations.

Athletes who have buy in will only get us so far.

Depends if the club actually have ambitions of playing more expansive football or they'd settle for aggroball with alternate European runs.

I feel like some people need to temper their expectations. We aren't gonna have a game where we go out there and control a team like Brighton. Not with this team. It's a win against a team that is battling for Europe.

Better today after a nervy start. But - the dropping off 5/10 yards at the start of the 2nd half needs addressing - we become so passive and it's happened way too often.

Why?  You want some?  I don't usually deal with strangers (and you're pretty strange) but I can do you a good potato if you're interested.

Desperately needed a win and when you're in crap form you'll take any win you can get.

There's a decent chance that by the next game we're mathematically safe so hopefully that sees us play with some more freedom and there's an improvement over the last three games

We have had a truly awful season and yet somehow we are only 13 points off 4th. Truly bizarre season.

If we had kept half of our leads would be around there, with better keeper would be almost nailed on.

So i've kind of not really posted on the forum in a while, as to be honest, I disagree with a lot of the "Howe Out" stuff (I think he deserves a lot more respect then he's currently getting), and generally I try and stay away from negativity, but this has kind of irked me, as it feels like you're being quite needlessly condescending.

Todays performance wasn't amazing, we rode out luck at times, and Brighton had some guilt edged chances. Infact I think they probably deserved a draw. However, so did we! We created some really good chances ourselves, and where the better side in the first half and deservedly went in ahead. Brighton then came out strongly and played like a side that were 6th and riding high on confidence and we played like a team that had lost 5 on the trot, and where really nervy (the prime example being Thaiw who's usually quite composed on the ball, just giving it away time and again) which is to be expected, its basic human nature, if you're low on confidence you tend to go into your shell, and to snap the streak we'd been on it was always going to be like that. Overall I would say there are probably more positives to take from today than there are negatives, and in a period where its been really turgid, where we have been really up against it, people are going to latch on to them and be happy that we got the win, and did so against a good side that tend to be our bogey team, so let people enjoy the win without acting superior.

Our xg today was almost 4, btw. We weren't lucky or whatever, we had loads of chances.

Certainly not a perfect performance but good stuff to build on. Howe went with those who set basic standards well and it worked.

Effectively played a 4-4-2 as well, the 4-3-3 obsessed creep.

Hugely condescending. Well said.

Seriously, what the fuck are you on about?

His comment looks pretty spot on to me. We completed 67 passes in the second half, 60%. The first half was 90 passes and 76%. It’s a good win, but it wasn’t a good performance. It doesn’t changed anything for me.

Well, neither you or the other guy have actually made any attempt to refute the points I made.  Points which have been repeatedly mentioned by other posters in this thread and the match thread, you've just cast shade.

Bring a discussion or go home.

I think we were lucky in that our self inflicted fuck ups didn't cost us this time. Pope's first half howler that hit the post one of many where we just invited calamity for no reason at all.

We were worthy of three goals easily, Brighton pushing for an equalizer in the second half made them easy to break against

What's the score? Where are all you cunts now then🤣

It’s this sort of shit, even as someone who is Howe In, that rankles. We win, twats come out; we lose, twats come out. Be better lads.

It was a weird performance, a lot of good in the first half and a lot of bad in the second half, it's easy to see why it could be viewed from both perspectives. I thought overall we edged the match over 90 minutes but a couple of key moments in the second half could have easily had this thread looking different.

Main thing is we finally got a result over the line. We need to bottle that first half performance and find a way to produce it with consistency, until then I won't be fully convinced that we've turned a corner.

I think he probably just finds some of the Eddie Fans comments a bit irritating

"Can’t wait to see you flip flopping fucks tonight."

"Know nowt fucking wankers circle jerk. "

They can be very rude at times

How's it acting superior?  I gave my opinion and was told to 'fuck off'.

Yeah we won the game but, jesus, we couldn't string three passes together and everything just seemed to be kicking it forward as quickly as we could.  That might win you a match or two but it's not going to bring sustainable success.

I think what really got me (and the lads I was watching with) was the contrast with Brighton who were knocking it around confidently, putting together intricate plays and passing movements. It just wasn't good.
