Manager always carries the can for performance on the pitch. That's the way it's got to be. That's why they get paid the money they get paid now. Ultimately that is what they are accountable for.

 

I do ggree with you though. It's never the fault of one individual on his own for failure, same as it's not down to one individual for the success.

 

Aside from all the poor signings though there was also plenty of concerning signs on the pitch. The tactics were dreadful at times. You could almost set your watch by his substitutions. His HT team talks had the opposite effect that they needed to have and we had no real belief or conviction in how we played. In fact we had a noticeable mental fragility which seen us throw away loads of games from winning positions and concede so many late goals.

 

Lots of wrongs need righted for me. Firstly though we need, at worst an 8/10 transfer window.

I went out with a lass for a few years. 

 

We had some great times. We were an ideal couple. Two peas in a pod.

 

But eventually, we ran out of enthusiasm for each other. It was the same old, same old.

We inevitably grew apart and even though she wanted to stay together, I decided we needed to split up. 

It was amicable. We had no kids or pets, just shared memories and some soft furnishings.

 

I ended up getting a new lass. A lass no-one would have said I was able to land. A lass who was able to take me forward in life in the way my ex-lass never could.

 

We've been happily together for two decades. Best thing I ever did in my entire life was ditching my ex-lass, even though we'd had those great times.

 

Cogito ergo sum, change isn't always a bad thing. Even if it feels painful at the time. And change, if it's neccessary, doesn't have to be nasty. 

 

Saying that, I did want to stay friends with my ex-lass and was never mean about her. But when she found out who my new lass was she refused to speak to me ever again and told everyone I'd ruined her life.

 

However, that's a whole other story.

Couldn't give a shit either way, the only thing that matters is the club and our continued upward trajectory. If that's under Eddie, great (although I am bored with Eddie-ball). If not, who honestly cares as long as we're moving forward.

I'm no Howe hater, but there quite a lot of alarming signs from things he was responsible for. Yes misplaced passes happen, crosses can be overhit, moments of monumental stupidity can happen, but these are on the players.

 

What Howe can and should have been responsible for is: Occasionally bizarre lineups and formations, predictable attacking (to the wing, cut back, no options back to defence or keeper) religious substitutions between 60-65 mins, motivation only obvious against 'bigger' teams, loyalty to favourites regardless of form or performance, failure to address the dropping of points after the 80th minute. The amount of times we also lost or dropped points after 90 mins is also pretty sickening.

 

The last one is the most galling...we lost something like 25 points from winning positions this season. If we'd kept even half of them we'd have been in CL again. 

A big if and everyone knows...if me auntie had b******s she'd be me uncle.

 

The transfers didn't help either, but ill not go into that much and ignore the money. In theory they should have delivered but for whatever reason they didn't. I doubt anyone would have thought Elanga would have totally forgotten how to football after his season with Forest, Wissa looked a safe bet for goals, Woltemade hasn't really been as bad as made out, but has been mis-used, Ramsey has been ok, and looks to be improving the more he plays.

Congratulations on the longevity. I've also had some ups and downs in my 20 year relationship and we've seen through the good times and bad times.

 

And what we can both demonstrate by our relationships is that there's more than one way to skin a cat.

 

So the Howe-outs need to see that sticking with what you've got isn't always bad.

And the Howe-ins need to see that changing for something new isn't always bad.

 

And everyone needs to calm the fuck down and be nice to each other and stop calling each other names for having different opinions.
