Couple of others in the encourage I didn’t recognise. Surprised I’ve not seen any photos on social media. Not where I’d take him but really speaks to the culture of the club and the desire to ensure he settles. Hiring the player liaison guy from Milan speaks to how we are approaching this. It's pretty fascinating actually - I think the club will be conscious of the issues Italian players have had settling in England in the past and will be doing everything possible to mitigate for it. It's asset value protection at the end of the day.

Oregon_Geordie
Fucking love Eddie! Building quite the squad. For all the money we have, it's down to his appetite, work ethic, and standards that we are where we are. Hope he's here for a very very long time. We're very very lucky! That's exceptional. Created at least 9 really good chances against a very, very good team. Miggys First Goal
I would have bit. Arsenal were a joke having three in the technical area at one time and not a thing was done.
54
He's such a good man manager: Newcastle boss Eddie Howe on starting Alexander Isak over Callum Wilson against Aston Villa: "It was very difficult. One of those calls that I didn't look forward to making out of my love for Callum. My relationship with him is very strong and he's been outstanding for me as a manager. "To make those calls and disappoint someone you love is very difficult. I had to make a call, and Alex performed really well and so did Callum; they both scored. Getting off the mark is important." Ben
Man Utd will take care of themselves this season because basically they are not very good but to see Liverpool drop will be a dream, Klopp seems to have outstayed his welcome, his Dortmond curse has come back. PauloGeordio
Eddie Howe has said he “hasn’t given too much thought” to concerns over St James’ Park holding friendlies for the Saudi Arabia men’s national team next month. Newcastle United announced on Wednesday that their stadium will host Saudi Arabia for two friendlies in September, playing Costa Rica on September 8 and South Korea on September 12. The club are majority-owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), and have fostered links with the country since the takeover, including training camps in Riyadh, an away kit which resembles the Saudi national team’s, and shirt sponsorship deals with two Saudi companies, Sela and Noon. However, Newcastle’s links with the country have been questioned owing to the state’s poor record on human rights, which has been routinely criticised by organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. Asked how comfortable he was with the announcement, Howe replied: “Well, I found out like you, the media did, I had no pre-knowledge of what was happening. All I say on that is (that) I think Newcastle is an incredible venue to play, not just football, but we’ve had bands, lots of different rugby, lots of different sports at the stadium, and it is a truly iconic place to play.”
