Guest neesy111
Barry was vastly underrated, he was twice the player the also underrated Jordan Henderson of today is for example. Nowhere near the levels of Xabi of course That's absolute bullshite.

Raconteur
Xabi Alonso was a much better footballer better than Mr Liverpool and, from what I could see, that was the problem. Mr Liverpool didn't like being the second biggest fish.
St1pe
Loved Mehdi. Bossed Man City and Liverpool in consecutive games iirc. How's Mbabu doing after his big move? Saw him being absolutely rinsed by Werner in one of his goals of this season vid. Not that there’s much shame being done for pace by that guy mind. AY
God wish we kept league 1 goalscorer Ivan Toney and bang average Abeid. Devastating loss to the club those two well according to Lee Ryder anyway. Who next Matz Sels. What a treasure trove of talent that Ryder has found that we’ve missed out on Surely you can find better than that Lee ha. You’re so weird. That article isn’t a slight on rafa, Abeid is a good player. Yeah Lee Ryder doing articles every day on players Rafa sold is a pure coincidence You'd think Ivan Toney and Abied turned out like Zidane not banging in goals in league 1. Almost as if they found their level Lee. What about selling Xabi Alonso because he wanted Gareth Barry instead? It’s called being forced to sell to raise money. He didn’t have the luxury of Mourinho under Abramovich of not needing to sell to buy. Aye but specifically selling Xabi Alonso to get Gareth Barry? It wasn’t it was to strengthen other areas of the team. He had Mascherano and Gerrard he thought Barry would be a good utility player to cover multiple positions. In an ideal world he would have wanted to keep a player he named as one of his best ever signings but he wasn’t living in a Abramovich world. What multiple positions does Gareth Barry play? Center midfield and?

Poor Rafa, maybe he shouldn't have bought so much absolute garbage at Liverpool then with his extremely limited funds. Some absolute outstanding buys Reina, Mascherano, Xabi Alonso, Sterling, Luis García, Kuyt, Torres Alex Ferguson has a similar transfer record you judge them on what they win and how good a team they build which they both did so you can’t knock their signings if they build great sides. Turned them into Champions League and FA Cup winners and Title challengers going a season only losing 1 game that’s what building a good team looks like. You can’t do that if you’re just absolute garbage in the market.
Gallowgate End
Rafa Benitez’s squad building success at Napoli Signed Mertens for just £8m went onto score 100+ goals for Napoli Signed Koulibaly for just £7m now worth £100million Signed Jorginho for just £6m went onto be sold for big profit £55million Garbage in the market though
Dr.Spaceman
I mean it works both ways. The bloke signed Koulibaly and Jorginho, but also signed Matz Sels and Achraf Lazaar. You can do this with literally any manager in the world
Pata
Pretty sure I said he bought a lot of garbage as a Liverpool manager, not that Rafa is absolute garbage in the market. Josemi Nunez Morientes Zenden Sissoko Crouch Gonzalez Kromkamp Paletta Aurelio Pennant Voronin Babel Insua Dossena Keane Riera Johnson Aquilani Just some of his misses for Liverpool. No one is saying that Rafa isn't a great manager but it's hilarious how you think he has never in his career made a mistake which selling Xabi Alonso clearly was when he tried to replace him with £18m Alberto Aquilani.
