I’m a big fan of Danjuma from Villareal, was great at Bournemouth and has been brilliant for Villareal

Danjuma was linked with us about a month ago. He's doing great in Spain and is a more direct option to ASM, if we were going to rotate the left forward player. Would be an astute buy.

I’m not so sure we need pace so much as players with a high technical ability and a Diesel engine. We lack players who live moving into space off the ball when we’re in possession. They don’t need to sprint, just to be constantly in motion, aware of their marker’s position and scanning for pockets of space. The Italy midfielders in the final of the euros had no pace between them. But the ability to constantly move positions in passing lanes and triangles means they played through England at will

Just throwing this out there purely for the crack, but if we had the possibility of getting the England version out of him...

...Harry Maguire?

The thought of Maguire stepping out from the back and bypassing Bruno instead of just looking to play it simple to Bruno is revolting!

Huge no from me, the fee is an issue and I think his head’s not great. I like him moving forward with the ball but I’d be terrified with him in our defence

Even the England version of him? Easy to say like, his Man United form is terrible, but I do wonder about a few of the players there and what they'd be like in a healthier environment

29, would cost a fortune, would blow the wage structure, already has the turning circle and pace of a cargo ship and is very much damaged goods. It’s a no from me, Clive.

Do think he’d benefit from getting out of Man Utd though.

Sure, if we could transplant that version but international football is so different from club football. There’s way more data / evidence of his struggles at club football. I agree that the players at Man U are all playing like Bruce versions of themselves and someone like Howe could be transformative but it’s far too much of a risk for me, especially considering the fee

If we’re scouting Lyon then their 18 year old RB, Malo Gusto, looks tasty.

Had him in FM20, he was mint

Just watched the game on Saturday back. Bruno was starved of the ball, hence why were resorting to trying to find Joelinton with a long diagonal which ended up in a turnover almost every time. We need a DM/#6 to play alongside Bruno if we continue with playing a midfield 3. Mentioned him a few times now but Boubacar Kamara would be perfect. Kamara-Bruno-Joelinton is a top half PL midfield.

Need another CB given the expected outgoings in the summer. If we can't get Botman I'd look at Badiashile or St. Juste; the latter would give much needed pace at CB which we lack.

Mental how I want us to keep Krafth nowadays. For LB though, signing Targett permanently I'd not be against and it would be the most sensible deal we could make in all honesty. But I'd go for that Aaron Hickey as an understudy if Lewis is going to be moved on. If not, keep Lewis as that second choice.

For wide attackers to take some pressure off of ASM, I'd not be averse to going back in for Lingard on a free. Bergwijn is looking like he's leaving Spurs and I'd take him but he'll probably go back to the Netherlands. Would also think about taking Maxwel Cornet from Burnley if they were to go down, but I don't think they will.

As for a striker, it's the most important part of the summer that we have to get right. We need 2 imo; one main man and a young understudy. For the latter I'd go back in for Ekitike. For the main striker, it's a tough one. Nunez is my dream choice and while there is a slight chance we could get him, he's likely off to Arsenal or Man Utd. Would take Ivan Toney back, his link up play is spot on and has got the goals to go alongside the quasi arrogance. Moussa Dembele is also an option. Victor Osimhen would likely take out ~80% of our budget and dunno if we could lure him here. Tough one.

Be pretty underwhelmed with those wide right options, particularly if the 3 in the midfield are the ones you mention as there is not much creativity at all in that side.
