Yup, box has been repurposed to just ‘NUFC’ on the door. Although I think it was his family using it a lot previously, and guessing they’re not attending so much.

Well if it was his wife and kids then it’s not likely to be used much again.

Have to assume he’s on his way out and surely it all (including his form) stems back to that.

More rumours today, as usual. Not that I believe rumours, and I'm not really against selling either, but we will then be left with Krafth as the only option if Livra gets injured? And Murphy I suppose.. Not ideal, but maybe that's how it has to be for this season. Might not end up being that much of an issue.

Krafth is good to come on and to play in cup games etc. I wouldn’t want him starting for us against top opposition but he’s definitely capable of good games against top players, I just don’t think he’d be able to do it consistently if there was an injury to Tino and Tripps was gone

Am I the only one who has confidence in Krafu? Think he is totally fine as a backup RB. Much like the rest of the people here under Bruce, he looks a different player under Howe.

You’re not alone. He was a bit flakey after returning from his CL injury. This is to be expected. Decent back up. Better at RCB mind.

He is fine at CB, but not great going forward at RB. It's fine as a backup solution, but there's also the fact that we would only have 2 players to cover it in the entire squad. Only one natural RB if you count Krafth as a natural CB. It's unlikely that we need more than 2 without Europe, but it's a bit risky. Krafth may also get injured, and then Livra is left to play every minute, with us praying that he won't pick one up himself.

PTSD from last season this, probably.

Would rather have him as a third choice RB/RCB but if we can get a decent fee for Trippier I guess I'm fine with it.

Nothing against Krath, and I missed both the matches - but when I opened the Krafth thread earlier it opened on the page during the Everton home match in April. Everyone was hard slagging him for being shit in that and in the West Ham match prior. Just re idea that he's always been good under Howe.

Ha, same.

Signing a RCB who could, in an emergency, fill in at RB if needed is probably the easiest path to moving Trippier and not completely regretting it three months from now.

Just on wages alone we'd save over £5m this season by not having Trippier, so if he's not going to start every week it's the most sensible thing to do.

People suggesting Krafth and Trippier are in some way equivalent?!? Put down your crack pipes.

Krafth is fine, Trippier is elite.

Let’s be honest. Tripps hasn’t been in elite form for a while now..

Think if Trippier leaves and we sign a new RW we might see a bit of Murphy at RB as well as Krafth.

Think if Murphy is to stick around another few years it'll be as someone who can play multiple positions and do a half decent job, hard to keep him around too much longer as just a wing option.

Unless we’re getting a fee that helps us this window to sign someone else then I don’t see any reason to sell him.

id still start him over Livra if both are fit and on form.

Tripps offers a lot of maturity on the ball, helps retain possession, and allows other players to find space.

Thought we really missed that in the early stages of Saturdays game (before the daft sending off), as much as I am excited by Livramento.

Surely a big miss, especially our RW is now either Almiron or Murphy who aren’t good enough

that said, I really not sure Trippier would be able to improve it now. Since his marriage problem broke out his form is outrageously bad.

Agreed, paired with his form as well - I’ve always said as a club we don’t sell well enough as nobody wants our players then when we do find someone the fans go into meltdown about it. We need to get better at cashing in when we can and tripps,  miggy - sorry but for me their time to go is now.

He makes a huge difference on the right side in an attacking sense particularly when you have Miggy or Murphy playing ahead. That being said I think Tonali will make a big difference to that right side when he eventually comes in in terms of creativity. I don’t want Trippier to go but if it also helps bring in a new RW I’m happy with that. I think Livramento will push on as a starter and offers different qualities (speed, very direct in attack) and Krafth is a decent back up. It seems from reports that Trippier will probably leave this window, he’s been an immense signing but I’m ok with him going, as I said particularly if it frees up a bit of room for say a new RW arrival if things are very tight assuming Guehi comes in.

I'm OK with him going as well, if that's what he wants. Would still start for me, mind, so there is that.

Some of the patter on here about him is lifting like.

Despite his woes blokes spent the summer getting hid National team into a major final whilst playing out of position. 😳
