Rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I didn't notice him any less 'match fit' than he used to be on Wednesday.

Thought some of his football was good on the ball, tbh we have missed that side of it. Love Tino as a defender, but Tripps is still light years ahead with the ball at his feet.

Tino has been poor of late, particularly going forward. Head down running with the ball with little end result at the end of it.

His running with the ball is great, no problem there, he can usually jink his way into good positions. But his final ball has been pretty rank, aye.

Was bound to happen really. Him having a decent game doesn't suddenly mean that he's back to his old self. Guys 34 and a half, so can't really blame him too much either. Shouldn't be starting.

The number of people that were hyping up this guy to come back in man ...

What a wake up call today.

Never believed the hype. His defending stinks. Slow, weak and timid.

Never believed the hype..give over man, absolute stupid comment.

Yes he's on the decline and been awful today but fans easy to forget he was our player of the season 2 years ago...

Can't even be upset with him. This is who he is now at 34.

Howe needs to take the blame. It's one thing to have him in the side for his tactical awareness in a back 5 defending a 2 goal lead against a static Arsenal attack.

But to play him in a 4 against this City side with the pace they have in attack was suicidal.
