Joelinton hired a personal coach

Sean Longstaff hired a psychologist.

Steve Bruce was such a terrible manager that at least one player required therapy.  Possibly more than just Longstaff as well since he was given the psychologist's phone number by Matt Ritchie, apparently unprompted.

Not wanting to sound preachy… but it kind of feels wrong laughing at the bloke now given his tragic family situation (which has led to a criminal investigation).

But with this though, Gayle hasn’t said anything unpleasant. He’s just confirmed the Hope stuff was true (and that there was clearly a mole) as well as providing some other eye-opening insights into what a chancer this bloke is. He doesn’t have this level of hatred because he’s a terrible manager (even though he is), but because he’s a terrible bloke.

Never underestimate the power of getting brain dead pundits to tell everyone what a nice guy you are and how criticism is unfair.

I feel for any members of his family going through any tragedy. They deserve sympathy.

He doesn't get nor deserve any let up because of that though and if he tries to play that card then that's another black mark against him iyam.

Not a criticism of anyone; just saying personally the timing doesn’t feel right.

He hasn’t tbf, so can just stick to criticising all the crazy things he has done and said. It’s good these things have still come out from Dwight fwiw - given we were told how nasty we all were in that empty stadium to such a nice bloke, proper footballing man etc.

I believe you lads call people like this a "bellend".

I am also sorry for his loss but his response was idiotic. I mean, it was confirmed he didn't do shit in training. OK lads, we're hitting it hard on Tuesday this week. Be ready to run around the cones for no less than two hours.

Bellend’s quite a soft insult. Think it’s mainly used when describing a loser or someone that’s annoying, bit of a wanker. Don’t think it has the level of vitriol that most fans hold for him

100% convinced he only got the West Brom job on the fumes of the very prevelant narrative that he'd done a great job here and the 'demanding Geordie' narrative.

Dwight Gayle played a crucial role in getting us promoted back to the PL where we remain. Done a lot more for us than Bruce regardless of some bad connection in a cup game we had fuck all chance of anyway under Bruce

With respect, Chucky Ferreyra, Nacho Gonzalez, Marcelino, Seydou Doumbia, Xisco and Islam Slimani have done more for this club than Steve bloody Bruce. At least their contribution is either negligible or neutral. They didn’t actively damage the club, as crap as they were. Steve Bruce was negative, toxic, took the club even further backwards and still continues to spout nonsense to this day. Even Joe Kinnear was at least mildly entertaining even though up until Bruce was probably the biggest embarrassment associated with the club

Tbf the main reason he's got any gig, much like a good few other regular (white) managers, is so many club owners are thick as fuck.

Name me 1 industry where serial losers are repeatedly rewarded with graft?

Why does his 8 months at WBA never get spoken out?

Took over WBA when they were in the playoffs and when he was sacked they were lower-mid table. When they replaced him they immediately got back into the playoff spots.

.it's the Villa one, for me. Bottom half of the Championship while he had Mings, McGinn, Grealish, Abraham. He left, they ended up promoted.

“the fella that got Bournemouth relegated”

I know I’m being a right pedant but that’s not a direct quote. He did imply this though and said plenty of unpleasant things about Rafa too.

Bruce did recommend Howe though apparently. So we should really be thanking him as the main reason we won the Carabao Cup.
