Thought "amount of local fans" was an interesting rabbit hole, this was the most up to date statistic I could find for the PL:

Interesting - the lower percentages broadly correlate with either recent success or legacy status (Everton).

Few outliers though - Bournemouth at the bottom end. Luton and Wolves you'd expect would have had more "local" fans than us but they're smaller regional centres so maybe t's economics with more moving away for work...

That's my only qualm, this bullshit goes down in the history books and in time will be forgotten that the place was half empty. Nobody is going to check the footage years down the line if they can't be arsed to go to games now.

Could maybe get a freedom of information request like they did for AEW All In 2023 to see the actual numbers

Give them their due, looks infinitely better than the rancid shite they consider food in the Gallowgate kiosks.

It’s chips with sauce and far too many spring onions [emoji38]

Looks like mackems are going to keep pace, only 2 it's behind Leeds- Sheff Utd should pull away but Leeds are just as inconsistent as the mackems

They'll drop off as the season goes on unless they have a good January, they don't have the squad depth to sustain it IMO.

I think they already have dropped off in the fact that they were top and are now in the playoffs, I think they’ll finish in the playoffs unless they lose some players in January. Considering they finished bottom third last season and I think have only brought one loan player in and this is managers first season then they have a lot to be happy about.

Wonder what excuses they'll come up with for only opening 2 stands for their FA cup game against Stoke?

Edit: Having read a bit more of the thread, it seems the excuse they're giving is - because they're only opening 2 stands, a lot of fans are unable to sit in their usual seat due to 2 stands being closed, and they're not happy about this, so aren't going. [emoji38]
