Who the fuck goes to a Sunderland match unless we are playing? It's not the fucking 50s. Absolute shit show even if your ticket is for free. And I hope the cunts get absolutely crushed and are in the lower leagues for an eternity. There will be even more freebies for you to go to then.

I wouldn't want these slugs to win a coin toss against Hitler, let alone be part of the worlds most prestigous league.

 

Sure, we'll have the chance to smash them twice a season, but the battle lines have been redrawn since we were last in a league together. If we destroy them, they'd put it down to the differences in finance, they'd claim a narrow defeat as a moral victory such is the gulf between us, they'd be peacocking around after a draw and a defeat to them doesn't even bear thinking about.

 

They can rot with the rest of the flotsam and jetsam in the lower leagues, masquerading as the 'big fish in the small pond' while they become less and less relevant to the rest of the football world.

 

I take more pleasure in seeing them drop points against tin pot teams than I would seeing them get battered every week in the PL. I don't want them getting an iota of the prestige and riches that come with being a PL team, even if it was just for one season. They'd start considering themselves a 'PL calibre team'. 

 

They are nothing. They always have been nothing. They always will be nothing.

Let them rot where they are. We've got bigger fish to fry than playing that lot. We'd have everything to lose and nothing to gain. When we beat them last season it was the most underwhelming win against them ever due to the huge gulf between the 2 clubs. Had they somehow beaten us we'd never have heard the end of it. The high of victory can never be as extreme as what the low of a defeat would be.

Hopefully they don't just lews, but get a proper hiding in the first leg tonight, then the 2nd leg infront of a '40,000' home crowd will be absolewtly toxic, marra.

Half my family is from County Durham and support Sunderland, I am from Northumberland but spent a fair bit of my childhood in Durham.

 

It's a canny day out, match for free, few pints in the Navy club, if they win I pretend I am pleased for them, drives them nuts, they want you to be angry, if they lose I can just enjoy it.

 

It's not like the internet, most of the people I sit with will know I am a mag, my family will tell them if I don't, but they don't give a shit.
