Still not sure what to make of them , they play Forest this weekend which means they will have played five of the current bottom six in the first six games . They do look like they are making themselves hard to beat though which might be all they need to stay up.

No one knows what to make of us really. Or Leeds. Or Burnley.

The three sides promoted last season are making much more of a fight of it compared to the last couple of years.

It’s the same story as usual, they don’t have to be good, they just have to be better than three others. Leeds and Burnley, and then probably Wolves and West Ham. And Villa :bluestar:

Well I must admit your team has already got 5 more points than I gave them credit for. So I will adjust my prediction to a total of 36 points. Could still be "rock bottom ".😉

If 36 points get rock bottom then it’s a mad season.

Diarra fucked with a torn groin.

Out til December. Wonder if they try and string it out so he’s not fit for the start of the AFCON, but then plays end of December? Don’t know if he’s good enough or important enough to Senegal for that to be realistic or not?

He’s been pretty poor so far in all honesty. Still be a big miss for his physicality though.

Think he’s played well enough personally.

Big chance for someone to step in, Rigg you’d think

Off the ball I think he’s been good. I like his pace and power.

It’s in possession where I think he’s a bit erratic and tends to give it away from what I remember.

Yeah, Rigg or Le Fee to come in or a formation change.

12pm away on the Sunday and another bubble trip apparently - expected that time and day but shite the bubble trip

Disappointing after all the noises made about the last bubble trip being ONLY because of the increased allocation and not being any indication to future trips…

Pains me, a bit, to say it but these clubs in the Premier league that vote for the Cartel's status quo need to be reminded that they, themselves, need to invest. All 3 new boys to stay up for me.

I think we can all agree that two of them staying up would achieve the objective.

The likes of Palace have been voting for the rules to protect their own status quo more than just because they like Man Utd etc.

They've been sat for the last few years happily watching the gap between the prem and champ get bigger and bigger. Clubs like palace, Brighton, Brentford all know that relegation is far more likely than winning the league but if the rules prevent promoted teams from investing heavily then their own league places are much more secure.

I'm guessing whoever* is in trouble in January goes fuck it and splashes the cash to try and pull themselves out of it which is a luxury the promoted teams won't have.

* apart from Wolves. They're a proper basket case of a football club at the minute.

Would hope supporters groups from both clubs come out strongly against this- it'll be the same for the return fixture as well.

This season, more than any other, needs the 3 promoted teams to stay up. Even IF, and I say this with a heavy heart, even IF one of them is the inbreds.

It's a no brainer for me.

Fuck that.

I hope all three go down and the same teams keep winning the league. Show the PL 'product' for what it really is. Financially doped, uncompetitive and sanitised.

Can I ask what’s the thinking behind that? Is it to give the other 17 (or 14 of the 17 in your scenario) a reality check of the financial gap?

Think it’s also harsh on Leeds to call them inbreds, but fair enough. ;)

Basically there's a bunch of clubs who are happy with the status quo. A virtual closed shop suits them.

3 promoted clubs get flushed every year so there's no threat to their income.

They also don't want to spend so can hide behind the rules they vote in that support the cartel's grip whilst giving them an excuse NOT to invest.

Ask ya Uncle sister, she'll tell you

Wouldn't the three promoted teams, if they stay up, just follow suit and vote in rules aimed at enshrining against being usurped like the cucks do now?

Essentially its what the cartel have done, with the exception of Arsenal the rest weren't of that status at differing points in time and I'm sure Liverpool wouldn't have been nearly as happy with the status quo when they were Everton's poor relations.

Maybe they would. If they have abitious and wealthy, perhaps not.
