£300 million for an entire football club in the Premier league, bunch of mugs those Saudis, Ashley had their eyes out.

(I bet the hilarious jeans wearing fucka cries himself to sleep every night with that deal)

If they decided to sell us now our market value would be well in excess of £1Bn.

In fact given we've sold Isak for £125m and have the Champions League riches this season I wouldn't be surprised if our turnover for this year alone is higher than they bought us for!

I was saying this to someone at the weekend, the price was soo cheap that it was a no brainer to buy us.

Tried to get tickets for Bradford but sold out bar about 150 executive ones at stupid prices it does mean over 52000 again.

I told my best mackem M8 this and pointed out it was 30000 more than the best fans in the world got...then said so what does that make us?

Admitted we were well supported...wow progress 😁

Was going to say the same thing, a £300m investment which is worth £1bn less than four years later is not being "sold a pup".  Also, PIF has made such a mistake that they recently increased their stake in the club when they bought out Staveley's shares -  I know fuck all about these things but I wouldn't consider that to be the actions of a regretful investor.

I never get this obsession of the club not owning the land either.  We are dealing with the Freemen of Newcastle and the City Council for which the club has a long term lease and pays a more than reasonable ground rent, not some faceless land investment portfolio which could kick us off at a month's notice.

Appreciate that these comments are from a bunch of knackers sat in a red & white echo chamber who desperately want to make themselves feel better, but this type of low hanging fruit is so easy to debunk man.  It's like the guy with his aerial photos of Knebworth trying to justify that only 500 turned up for our victory parade, or the seagull shagger being a Newcastle fan, or Newcastle Airport not being in Newcastle, or their regular "full houses", or the mag on a horse - all absolute bollocks!

At the time it felt like a guess who wins again price for Ashley. In hindsight not so much.

It didn’t look that way to me - it meant that Ashley roughly broke even (not allowing for the free advertising over the years).  A shite return on a PL club of our size - it’s why the ‘he ran it well as a business’ crowd were absolutely full of shite.

Did a summer article on promoted teams' first 6 matches. There's a really strong correlation.

Those on 0-6 pts go down, 8+ stay up, while 7 goes either way.

These lucky pricks are already on 7.

Seems pretty straightforward to me - if you’re averaging less than a point a game you’re very likely to be relegated.  Eight points from the first six games is upper midtable form.

I See they've got an increasing thread about someone from a pop group who is wearing a Newcastle top. Honestly, they're fucking mental. Saddest of all the sad cunts.

As soon as I saw Jade Thirlwall doing that event last week I knew they'd be absolutely fewmin about it.

That she's a mixed-race woman from South Shields makes her perfect fodder for the racist mysognist degenerates that run rampant over there.

Racist Keith was one of the first replies. He must set alerts to any topic which relates to us.

Need to venture to Mordor tonight for Inside No 9 at the Empire.

Anything decent nearby for food?

I took my daughter there about three years ago to see grease. I have a friends membership at the theatre royal and go there quite a bit. Only time in literally hundreds of performances I've seen, when there were two groups of women pissed, shouting and threatening each other when the performance was live. 11 in total had to be escorted out.
