Can someone explain to me why he seems to bother them so much? I get it, the tribalistic nature of football fans is what it is but why does he seem to ruffle them as bad as he does? [emoji38]

The song 'Seventeen Going Under' is actually about Sunderland's 2017/2018 season which saw them being relegated to League one.

This is always an entertaining thread like. I can picture et tu brute sitting in a big chair, cock in hand, stroking a white cat and muttering "my cock here is red raw"

Very odd, I detest the worst of the Sunderland fans (Not all, I have some very good freinds & business partners who are Sunderland daft & fair about most things)

Dave Stewart is an extraordinary musician & a Makam, I don't listen to him & think how much I hate him as he's from Sunderland ffs, he's a brilliantly talented man

He does bang on about his support for us and he is a success.

There is nowt some people in the North East hate more than someone being successful.  If they had any class they would ignore him.

Why do they blur football rivalry in to everyday life?

Why would we hate a Mackem musician?

Because their very reason for existing is to be the exact opposite of Newcastle. Every single aspect of their lives involves Newcastle, they have no other identity whatsoever. They're whatever Newcastle aren't, they believe in whatever Newcastle don't, they can't tell you who or what they are or what they believe in without mentioning Newcastle. They're the lump of shit hanging out of the parasite's arsehole of the thing that's currently living on Newcastle

...and they know it. And it eats them up from the inside every single day of their lives. They're completely unknown, minor and irrelevant without Newcastle

I don’t mind admitting that he does irk me somewhat.

For me it was when he turned up on This Morning in a borrowed jacket claiming he’s a dyed in the wool Newcastle fan despite never attending a game ever and every subsequent gig he’s ever done is now awash with anti Sunderland flags.

Aside from that I quite enjoy his music, genuinely.

How do you know he’s never attended a Newcastle game prior to that interview?

Also, awash with anti-Sunderland flags? What? I’ll be fair and I’ll say of all of the gigs that he has done, show me five that have had anti Sunderland flags at them. You do know he does shows outside of Newcastle, right?

This is what shows you up for the weirdos that you are on this.  Making statements with authority about him without the evidence to back it up.

He is a Newcastle fan though and did attend games long before the takeover.

I have mutual friends of his, one in particular who I went to uni and worked with was a friend of his from 6th form and they would often go to games in a big group together. They would often go and see him perform on the evenings as well.

Just about perfect that, every bit of shite they spout is "fact" as they've read it on RTG, takes seconds to disprove it but never mind onto the next banal lie

Just fucking odd on every level, Also I know for a fact Jordan Pickford has a Newcastle flag & an Angel of the north statue in his garden, my mate worked on the house next door.
