I can't see them having any issues with PSR. They sold Jobe & Watson in June which should help with the 24/25 period and they'll obviously get a huge boost in 25/26 with the PL income.

We are nowhere near the PSR limit, the recent loan taken out is to essentially bring forward the TV cash you get later on in the season, to have access to it earlier.

It's common practice across a number of PL clubs, Spurs have done similar.

Just have to wait and see, Le Fee was signed in June and there will be a big increase in wages and bonuses amongst other costs, before any signing costs are included. They only have 61 million to play with for the three years.

Loan has nothing to do with PSR as already discussed

Why did you say it was to ensure we 'don't get a points deduction as we will be well over the 61M loss allowance'?

It's got nothing to do with that, has it?

I was getting mixed up with an injection by restructuring of owner shares. That's not what your lot have done though

Not entirely sure what you mean by 'not what our lot have done', What 'our lot have done' is typical practice for a number of PL clubs. It's simple cash flow management to receive PL funds now, rather than later this year, most likely offering the ability to push a little more in January if needed. The funds are paid now to us, and when the PL money hits, it repays the loan taken out.

It doesn't count towards PSR already mentioned. We don't do loans currently, we put revenue in based on restructuring owner shares, which does impact PSR. Maybe your owner will at some point also. Are you Donald the flag man failure? Someone wants to tell him to read the thread properly.

I don't have the sheer hatred for these that I used to have. I'm apathetic. Ambivalent. It's been like that for a while, really. Don't know if I'm just mellowing with age. When I see social media posts, or even snippets of their forum, I used to feel anger reading their comments about us, or just fucking mental takes on things, but I feel nothing now.

Obviously, I hope we smash them up this season, but I actually hate some other teams/institutions more than these. The complexity of life.

Bloke who wouldn't engage with the club on their fan displays, slagging them off at every opportunity which led to it falling apart.

He's as thick as a submarine door with the emotional level of a toddler.

Why is it this "north east top dogs" stuff only get an airing whenever sunderland are briefly above Newcastle?

We've spent the last 8 years, 1 and 2 leagues above them and not once did I see "north east top dogs" mentioned.

It completely proves, we dont measure success based on being above sunderland, where as thats exactly how they measure it, being above us.

Proper small time club and fans.

"Mind the gap" is all I keep hearing and seeing, like you say we have been far better than them for 8 years and not once did I see that type of nauseating nonsense. Totally sums up the difference between the two clubs.

I actually find myself not even caring about how well they are doing. I still want them to get beat every week obviously but when we have a class team and a class manager with a recent cup win whilst playing in the champions league its hard to get worked up by them. Its not like when Ashley was here and we got dragged down to such a level that finishing above them was basically all we could look forward to.

Its because we have far bigger fish to fry these days than worrying about what they are doing.

TBF I can remember our fans singing "Mind the gap Sunderland FC" at away games but at that time there really was a gap. 2 divisions for example, not a few points that has every chance of being eroded as the season progresses. That's how they measure success though. Clutching at straws to match/ better us. Has been for years and will probably continue to be that way for eternity.

I honestly don’t give two shites about the smoggies mind.  Have never looked for their results.  It would be good for them to have a proper rivalry - I’m sure the Mackems and them will be very happy together

Loads of the lads hate em I do there proper scum would be good to get the derby back

I's actually be quite ok for Boro to win the playoffs. We have hardly played them in years, so the once quite bitter rivalry of the 80s and 90s is not the same. More importantly though it would totally devastate the mackem cunts, with their two north east rivals being in the league above. Also gives us a local(ish) game

It’sa proper derby that remeber from the 80/90s how fierce it was we all cared about them wsy more than the mackems

Middlesbrough has always been our true Derby marra . The head choppers up the road don’t understand what real NE folk are like. Boro understand us and we understand them.

It’s always been like this … Newcastle have never really been true NE folk marra.

Canna wait to beat Boro and then chase the smoggie gits across town and smack them back onto their train home. FTM

Not even trying to lick ya arse. But couldny agree more I hate the smoggies more than the mackems feel like boro are more proper i think our Derby with boro is class

Been spat on, swung at and called a maggot at Boro over the years, despite not being our biggest game always has a bit of edge and used to enjoy playing them.

It used to be alot bigger than Sunderland in its hay day and was our biggest game I think it’s a proper derby and would be class to get it back

Boro away 80 something. Most shitting myself I've ever been at an away game. In the back of a van with back doors that didn't lock. Fans banging on the windscreen when stopped at traffic lights. Still gives me shivers like.
