The crowd man. 👏👏👏

I made my debut at home v West Ham about a month after that so that gave me some idea of the 1st toon line up I would have ever seen. I believe goalkeeper  Roger Jones was signed shortly after that Derby game so definitely a change there.

How many times this season have we been held goalless?

7 I think. I'm sure someone said 8 the other day like so I might be missing/forgetting one.

Villa x 2, Leeds, Bournemouth, Wolves, mackems, Man City

Some news reports when Andy Cole was sold including Keegan on the steps

Seems like only yesterday. A real bombshell at the time. The king stayed true to his word by bringing in Sir Les. Nice of Jimmy Hill to give an opinion, about 7 mins in ☺

All the news from when Shearer came home. Had forgotten we sent out Alan Robson to keep the crowd entertained, presumably tried to organise a seance or something

Any idea what stack is like to watch an away game on the tele?

Thinking of going for the Villa FA cup game, but would i have to be in hours beforehand to avoid queuing round the block?

Result and generally poor performance aside it was ok in there. Got in a little over an hour before KO and was a small queue of about 8 people in front of me. Plenty of bars, waiting time no worse than most pubs IMO. Prices no worse than I expected either. Coors was £5.90 a pint then went on to Madri which may have been coppers more. Hard plastic glasses. Easily accessible food outlets. I had a small ham and mushroom pizza for £7.90 which was about the size of a plate but on a really thin base. The DJ helps create a good pre match atmosphere with the sort of tunes that they play in the ground and a few additions. Hey Jude, Home Newcastle etc. There was a brief appearance from band the "Belta Reivers" too who played Blaydon Races and the likes. It's a predominantly young crowd in there much younger than old codgers in their late 50s like myself. You'd probably need to go earlier to get a seat in good view if the game but we were happy to stand and had a clear view of a huge screen. Not for me but people were openly vaping. Would go again. Enjoy if you go.
