Someone do a best XI from Serie A from that era.

:sweetjesus:

Buffon

Maldini Costacurta

Christ, I can't. I can't do it.

Donadoni, Gulliet, Pirlo, Seedorf, Baggio, Zidane, Davids... I can't do it.

Totti, Ronaldo, Del Piro... ergh

Kaka over the likes of:

Desailly

Thuram

Nedved

Gullit

Seedorf

Platt

etc.

Nah. Ballon D'or or not, I don't think he's better than at least 5 other people from that time period.

Seedorf and David Platt over Kaka

Try telling that to a Milan fan with a straight face.

Gonna try a La Liga best XI for the same period (1992-2017). Boringly, it's all Real Madrid / Barça players.

Casillas

Dani Alves

Pujol

Ramos

Roberto Carlos

Busquets

Xavi

Zidane/Iniesta (utterly split on this one)

Ronaldo

Proper Ronaldo

Messi

Barely even worth debating, bar the Zidane/Iniesta one.

Get Busquets tae fuck and replace him with Ronaldinho. 4-2-4

You've went FIFA Ultimate Team with this one, man. Kaka is behind Zidane, Baggio and Rui Costa, even if you're doing it by position/role. Then you've got Desailly, Thuram, Pirlo, Gattuso, etc. who were more effective over a sustained period of time too. I honestly don't get the Kaka love, like.

DAVID PLATT OVER KAKA

I'm not getting that hook back.

On the Serie A thing, no team is fit without Ibrahimovic. The man dominated the league his whole career, Kaka may have the Balon D'or and several CL highlights but in terms of league dominance he doesn't come close as those Milan teams very much underperformed as seen by the fact Kaka only had two major trophies in his Milan career.

Reet, guess I'll have to make a team. This is done as a team with balance not just 3 #10s playing in midfield.

Buffon

Maldini

Baresi

Nesta

Costacurta

Zanetti

Pirlo

Gattuso

Nedved

Zidane

Ronaldo

Wearing the mid 90s Juventus strip!

Serie A was simply too good during the 1992-2002 or so.

You learn quickly to walk like a duck in anything but football boots. Never change speed or direction or you'll slide for weeks.

Gattuso ffs. Bloke could barely play football.

 OK. You're clearly agitated that I don't like Kaka. You can have Kaka in your team. It's fine.
